Last night was a game full of reversals in the face xpopcornxshock1:It was a beautiful sight even if ... many of us have risked heart attacks! xfaint

Let's recap xleft:

At 15 minutes of the first half, Seferovic scores with a header. This was H.P. Lovecraft reaction:

At '55 Rodriguez had to take the penalty for Switzerland. Deep inside I thought "If he gets it wrong, France will easily go 2-1". Lloris performed the miracle by parrying the penalty xstars and France began to have courage!

As I had predicted, in '57 and '59 Benzema managed to overturn the game thanks to two assists by M'Bappe (poor in the realization phase but he played a good match as a second striker). The stadium collapsed under the screams of the French. Rodriguez cursed all the gods in existence for the wrong penalty xangry

At '75 Pogba scores a EuroGoal xshockThe match is over. The French stands are in turmoil. Pogba convinced of the victory begins to dance in a foolish way xyaay but he did not realize that ... there were still 20 minutes to play xwait His ballet, like Ronaldo's useless and offensive "heel no look" on Rudiger, spurred Switzerland to bring out his pride.

At '81 Seferovic shortens the distance! Switzerland is alive and believes in it! This was my reaction:

The 85th minute arrives and Gavranovic scores the equalizer goal! xshock1:No! The goal is canceled! xfaint

We are in the 90's ... the game is over ... no ... Xhaka advances ... the French defense opens ... Xhaka's through ball for Gavranovic and ... GOAL !!! Feel like experiencing the atmosphere of the "Escape to Victory" match! At that moment I lost my sanity xcrazy

Regular time ends. The first half extra time is quite slow. The only sensations experienced are the nervousness of the French players and the yellow on Pavard. In the second half of extra time Coman tries the magic and M'Bappe devours the winning goal. The shadow of penalties is about to fall on Bucharest.

The penalties are all perfect except, if I remember correctly, that of Giroud where Sommer senses but fails to save and the penalty of Vargas who is nearly saved by Lloris. Now it's M'Bappe's turn ... the boy has too great a responsibility ... I said "I think he'll be wrong". M'Bappe is wrong! xwall Sommer does not understand that he has saved the last penalty and then ... the joy!xyaaayxhug

In short, I can say that M'Bappe did not play badly but did not meet expectations. France showed what was visible from the beginning of Euro 2020: the team could not be incisive and the defense was bad. I can only say that France had to suffer the injuries of Digne, Hernandez and Dembele. I can also say that the climate in the locker room was not good. I recognize this but ... it is also these things that make the difference between victory and defeat. France proved to be like Argentina: a beautiful team but with too many individualities that do not make a cohesive group.

Mauve wrote to me saying that I saw France in the final. It's true. France was the world champion team and their players are strong. Often the Europeans also win "by playing badly" or by having uncomplicated games in front of them up to the semifinal or the final. I am happy to have been proved wrong. This European is proving to be truly compelling! xyes

Anyway ... what will Hanouna come up with now? xthinkxrofl

England will lose this evening.

We do not beat Germany. It is just a thing we do not do. When it comes to football our legs turn to spaghetti at the first glimpse of a German.

But then you never lost a big tournament match when playing at Wembley, isn't that right?

And Sven-Göran Eriksson disagrees ;) although not a big tournament match but a qualification match.

I believe in England this evening.

Surprising how harmless England is considering how many dangerous set pieces we grant them.
We are crap but as long as its 0:0 I am hopeful

I have the feeling that the team that makes a goal will win. Or will it be a draw after 90 minutes? terrible thought. How many heart attacks do I have to suffer?
