France vs Switzerland -> it will be a surprisingly hard job for France, after Switzerland takes an early lead. However, thank to their quality and experience France will turn it around and win

At least until the 81st minute my prediction was pretty accurate xthink

France... what did u do? :( You had this, you can't become careless playing with a good team like Switzerland, even if leading 3-1 :( + it really wasn't cute Mbappe's day today... Out of the big teams I expected France to be the most certain, but guess what... Spain has a good chance to revive and reach far, also good news for Belgium or Italy .. Also what a good fighting spirit from Switzerland, I really didn't pay much attention to them before, but tonight they proved me wrong (y)

Wow, today's matches..........are very hard to describe

But the best matches so far without a doubt.

:hr: played an excellent match, and in fact, it was their best match overall. They fought until the end but it wasn't enough. The own goal in the beginning was unbelievable, it reminded me of some hilarious goals that we were getting on various matches over the years (and there are many of them). A lot of mistakes in general, but :es: is still not at the top of their game and I expect their overall performance to improve in the next stage.

As for the second match.......I have supported :fr: and I am very disappointed with the way :fr: approached this match. By far the weakest match of :fr: in a while (I've watched most of their matches even outside of EURO). And when it looked like they are controlling the match, they've just spilled and ruined everything. I'm not sure if they underestimated :ch: or not, but in any case, :ch: played a great match and they deserved to be lucky in the penalty shootout, realistically speaking. Also, a tragic performance from M'Bappe. He shouldn't have taken the ball, I knew right away that he will miss, and it happened.

There will most likely be a lot of goals on the match between :es: and :ch: , but I am hoping for the victory of :es: xpray

Yes they were, in a French channel they were even saying that Switzerland was a "formality"

Wow, that is surprising........I think everyone expected a tight match here and saying those things on a public TV was definitely inappropriate.

:ch: has outsmarted :fr: on a tactical level. They managed to neutralize all of their strongest points and hats off for that. I expected :fr: to go to the very end, but I definitely didn't expect they would play like this when it mattered the most.

Deschamps has a lot to learn after this defeat.

As soon as I saw M'Bappe's expression, I doubted that he would be wrong. Why? For these reasons:

a) the quarrel with Giroud and the split locker room.

b) he is very young and not used to competitions such as the World Cup and the European football championships.

c) for too long he has not scored with the French national team.

d) tonight he missed too many goals which undermined his safety.

f) the long tiring season he played has clouded his qualities.

g) often the most representative players fail on penalties (for example, Roberto Baggio).

Deschamps made a mistake in making him take the penalty and, if M'Bappe was to take the penalty, he should not have been the last.

PS: if Croatia had been careful in defense in the extra time with Spain ... maybe we would have a Croatia vs Switzerland quarter-final!

P.P.S .: who wrote that Switzerland were poor because they had been beaten 3-0 by Italy?

Congratulations to Switzerland !!! It's your time !!! And now ... Tout L'Univers !!! xviolin

I’m not angry or butthurt, just a bit sad. However, it is obvious that we have to rearrange some things. It is time for young players.
This team was unbalanced, you could feel the vibe.
We’ll see if we can make the swap for Qatar, I believe we should.

Can't wait to hear the Swiss at work today

But anyway, they deserved to take it, our team was far from spectacular this championship. Before the Euro I said we would either fall into group stage or win the whole thing, guess I was wrong but I'm not surprised by this loss, even if I thought we would reach quarter final.
Now let's prepare for the WC, at least it wasn't the 2008 catastrophe (but let's hope the 2022WC is nothing like the 2010 one)
