It would be a dreadful game for England and France, either way. Spain has a dangerous attack but Italy defends like a rock.

(I'm troubled though, as Italy is my team of the heart, and I don't know who I'll support in the next match.....)

Ibra's goal was a thing of sheer class. I love that man to bits.

UEFA.com said:
:se: Sweden 2 - 0 France :fr:

The final whistle is blown. Andrew Haslam, Olympic Stadium: Erik Hamrén's team bow out of UEFA EURO 2012 with a display full of commitment, endeavour and no little skill. France, however, have plenty to ponder after finishing second in Group D, and will now play Spain in the quarter-finals in Donetsk on Saturday.

:en: England 1 - 0 Ukraine :ua:

The final whistle is blown. Tom Kell, Donbass Arena: What a night for England. Qualification was far from assured at the start of the day but Wayne Rooney's goalscoring return and France's defeat by Sweden mean they end it as Group D winners and with a quarter-final against Italy to look forward to.

Oh no, France again.... We have our worst stats with France... :?

But ok, I want revenge after what happened in Euro 2000 and World Cup 2006 + French team is probably the one I hate the most. I'd rather kick France out and I'd be happy, even if we lose in the semis or in the final.
I JUST WANT TO KICK FRANCE OUT!!!!!!!

All countries (except England) competing in the 2012 quarter-finals were winners or runners-up (Portugal) in the past editions. Congratulations! These are the best teams! xrunhug

Now that Ireland are out, I'll be supporting Germany ftw.

Hopefully,

Czech Republic beat Portugal
Germany beat Greece
Spain beat France
Italy beat England

then

Czech Republic beat Spain
Germany beat Italy

then

Germany win! :D

So, I was very curious about who has the best shot to keep going and qualify to the semi-finals. I made calculations on FIFA website, based on the latest results. This is just a prediction, of course. Everything can happen, but :pt:, :es:, :de:, and :en: are currently the teams having the biggest chances to win their respective matches, according to FIFA data. In this ranking prognosis, Spain remais at #1 (surprised?), Germany is now 2nd, England goes top 3 (rises 3 places), Portugal goes top 5 (rises 5 places), Italy reaches #6 (big jump - six places), Greece goes top 10, France is right after at #11 and Czech Republic stands at #18 (making the biggest jump - it was #27).
This is how the provisional ranking looks like. The new official ranking will be available on 4th July.

FIFA World Ranking - as of June 20 (Ranking Prognosis)

1. Spain – 1544 :es:
2. Germany – 1500 :de:
3. England - 1306 :en:
4. Uruguay - 1297
5. Portugal – 1146 :pt:
6. Italy - 1117 :it:
7. Argentina - 1095
8. Netherlands – 1079
9. Croatia – 1050
10. Greece - 1042 :gr:
11. France - 1033 :fr:
12. Denmark - 1017
13. Brazil – 1012
14. Russia – 981
15. Chile – 961
16. Côte d'Ivoire - 939
17. Sweden – 907
18. Czech Republic - 896 :cz:
19. Mexico – 832
20. Japan - 829
