It seems to be pretty polarizing choice... The moment that both Ollie and Bedwetters qualified for the Superfinal, I knew that Alika has it in bag. Ollie might have won if it was another ballad instead of Bedwetters.

I actually really like this but it feels a lot like an entry that is going to be hurt by the televote only semis. On the bright side, if she can make it through, the juries will EAT this up in the finals

It was said live that Bedwetters got 25% of the Superfinal votes. Alika got 42%. That means Ollie got 33%. Can't say it was a landslide win, but yes - win is a win. 32 000 voters in Superfinal, btw.

So, if the Juries did their Job correctly and eliminated the non-juryfriendly Entry from Bedwetters, Ollie would have won the Superfinal?

I put a bet on in December for Estonia to be top 5 after hearing bridges in December, I think this was always inevitable but the bubble is often out of step with reality
Should do very well in this field given its looking like one of the worst ESCs ever .Most selected so far are shockers and they cant remove them all in the semis. It looks this year like most countries dont care, that could be for lots of reasons, but the contest is being slowly destroyed .The fact they had to remove juries from the semis because they were so corrupt says it all. Then due to population flows around Europe the televoting is becoming even more diaspora heavy. The stearing committee will surely be pressing the juries hard this year because they will be desperate to avoid a Ukraine victory again with such a poor song. This year really needs 3 or 4 quality entries to emerge.

Yes, that's my opinion.
It's obvious that if for example Sissi were in there instead of Bedwetters, things would have panned out exactly the opposite.
After sleeping on it, I think we can't cry too much about the outcome. Alika is GREAT and will do good in Liverpool xacademic
But yeah... These "what if"'s will remain to a lot of peoples minds for long time. How well Ollie would have done, we'll never now...xthink

"If my grandmother had wheels, she would've been a bike"

"If Ollie had worse opponents in the super-final, he would've won"

I would've preferred Ollie, too, but Bridges isn't too bad, although it does sound like a good Maltese entry...I like the verses more compared to the chorus. Alika is vocally amazing.

I upgraded it to :8:

Her singing is phenomenal and it carries the whole entry - the song might not be very memorable as a whole (since it doesn´t hit as hard as ballads from Melodifestivalen) but I think there are also recurring parts which are quite catchy (the quiet parts) and her vocals gave me goosebumps. I think I really like it more than I should but her vocals were flawless and usually, I hate to "rank a song based on vocals alone" but her performance was just mesmerising and is already "Eurovision-ready".

Kind of reminds me of Cornelia Jakobs, and a couple of others. And that's not a good thing. I don't really like this type of entry, but i guess this isn't terrible, there are some melodic qualities, i just find it dull and unengaging to watch and listen to. Final's very possible though.
