I'm enjoying Alaska49 and Bsimmons feuds. Very entertaining. Eurovision season is long so hopefully more to come.

Hey you've been really bitter for these few days. Take a chill pill, most of are just having fun with the gifs and the Inga hype. And having favorites and hated acts is just... natural for this and every other forum.

Having favorites is ok, but talking shit about a potential winner "I will root against it if it wins" that would be CHOICE of Estonians is asshole thing to do.

Let us have our one small selection and respect our choice ... but hey I guess some people here think they know better than the majority of the nation.

On what grounds is anyone allowed to complain about Eurovision winners if this is true?

Re: ESTONIA 2019

I guess I need to get my hearing checked or something, but I honestly didn't think Victor sounded that bad in the semi. Compared to the horror-show many of you seem to have heard, I just thought he was a bit nervous in the beginning and strained in the chorus. Well, I've not really listened to the studio version that much so maybe that's why I can't tell? The semi 1 sound was pretty bad in general.

I guess once we get the semi results, we'll be able to judge how much of a difference pre-recorded backings might have made (assuming he uses them). If he won semi 1 with a convincing lead anyway, it would not have made a difference. If he didn't win semi 1 but now aces the final, he's got the backings to thank. But first things first, let's see who actually wins the darn thing!

Totally different story. ESC winner will be selected by combining votes of different nations wth different culture, history etc. including political voting and rest of the shit that comes along with that. National selection is done by "same" or a least "very similar" people. So whoever wins national finals, the nation selection should be respected at least to a level of not talking moronic shit like "I will root hard against it and I hope it fails so that Estonians would learn the lesson".

My only reaction to such person is a question ... WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU TO TELL US WHAT TO DO?

Re: ESTONIA 2019

also eesti laul is my second favourite NF easily and i have defended its quality here several times. sometimes from estonians themselves! i just won't mince words to appease anyone's patriotism lol. if victor coasts on his swedishness and doesn't fix his issues even in eurovision then i WILL root for estonia to NQ so the big wigs of eesti laul realize some decisions are bad and it's not some meninist dumbfuck who will stop me.

Well Leto Svet was something to root against. And I couldn't care less the majority of my nation chose this. It was garbage and should remain in the bin.
If somebody dislikes Storm, they have every right to root against it. Just like people have the same right with whatever song.

Alaska49 and everyone else on the Inga train won.

You dont really get it why Leto Svet was selected, do you?

And the point is not "rooting against the song", but "rooting against the song, so that the whole nation would learn from it"

Me like everyone else likes and dislikes the songs, but I am never so arrogant that I would assume that whatever the selection may be it allows me to "start educating the entire nation"

Also ... lets try not to put Leto Svet and Storm in the same context. Even that half-brain brazilian flag moron probably understands that these are not the songs at the same level.

That "half-brain brazilian flag moron" happens to be one of my best friends, and is one of the smartest, funniest, wittiest people I've ever met. He's nearly always right in his assessments. You need to be less rude and tone down that awful, condescending, smug ass personality of yours, because I have *very* rarely seen a post of yours that actually describes matters the way they are. You are showing your true character by attacking people just because other posters in the same topic happen to agree with them :-/

Re: ESTONIA 2019

If our nation didn't stop voting for Stig after Play flopped as hard as it possibly could, I don't see why Victor flopping would have any bigger effect. Besides, it usually ends up being "Europe is dumb and this contest is all political anyway!" when we do bad, rather than "oh no, we'll never pick such a mediocre song again! We've learned our lesson!". So for anyone hoping Victor's flop would make a huge difference in our voting patterns, I wouldn't hold my breath. We'll just have to hope there are some really good outstanding songs in future Eesti Laul editions, that will beat any mediocre Stig entry in the running. :)
