So it's diaspora voting within the country? How lame really.

I can't stand diaspora voting. Can people just vote for songs and not nationalities/countries finally?

Then the "non-Russians" better join forces and support Ithaka then ;)

Well Russians don't watch ETV normally, so it depends on how much this is pushed in the Russian-language media whether they will watch and vote. But even if Victoria were to win the televote, with the 50/50 system, it might not be enough to get her into the final two.

The more I think about I start to believe that Ithaka would be a bad choice and Getter would be a really good one. Ithaka is like a plagiarism of Ukraine's winning song.

If Ithaka is plagiarism, then Getter is plagiarism of every uptempo pop there is.

No logic.

But hey everyone's to theirs...

Getter is way more "typical" imo, Gooo Ithaka! That is more original and just soo cool :D

I'm firmly in the Ithaka camp here. She, and the song, have far more to offer, and have more chance of success at the ESC imho.

First time when I'm very nervous because of winner. There is like no idea who will win. All polls have been won by Ithaka and so much as I've read the online newspapers comments is also Ithaka favourite by many people. But here never know about that.
Go Ithaka!!! :D

Go Ithaka!!! :D

Please Estonia, don't let me down!

So many countries have this year already, with Ithaka you can be one of the countries saving Eurovision spirit!!

It's very important you vote though! Austria made a huge mistake, don't do the same one and forget to vote for Ithaka!!

Also do not trust the juries! They might work against you! So never forget to vote!

Good luck Ithaka Maria! It will probably end up as my #1 or atleast top.3 this year if chosen!

No. Getter is now ahead of Ithaka in the Elu24.ee poll (only one per cent or less, though). And I think she was also ahead of Ithaka on the Estonian eurovision fanpage. And if you read comments in Elu24.ee, most people actually think that this song is a cheap rip-off of Ruslana.

oh okey, when I watched was Ithaka 1st and also in eestilaul.err.ee but now there leads Victoria with 1% more than Ithaka has. I really read the Õhtuleht comments, but not them all so you are for sure right. But we all can see the results in the evening. Can't wait for them =)

Re: EESTI - Estonia 2011

The trouble with some popular songs such as Ithaka's is that they tend to polarize people somewhat - some really like it, others can't stand it. So for example if the superfinal was between Ithaka and Outloudz, Outloudz might end up winning if a lot of people choose to vote "against" Ithaka. Predicting is a tough job of course, but I will be surprised if anyone other than Ithaka, Outloudz or Getter gets into the superfinal. ;)

Re: EESTI - Estonia 2011

Estonian online-newspaper DELFI wrote today that Getter will be using a RC? helicopter during her song. AND in case of winning we are going to see a real copter in Düsseldorf:shock:
http://publik.delfi.ee/news/eestila...finaalilaval-maandub-helikopter.d?id=41070527

Estonian national finale will be held at 19.35 UTC (21.35 local time)

EDIT:
I predict that Outloudz gets the top votes from jury...

Re: EESTI - Estonia 2011

I think it will turn out disaster!! Getter will use a gimmick to collect votes, and Outloudz might win the jury vote :(

So Ithaka might miss the super final and Outloudz and Getter will compete in the super final :(

This Eurovision is turning lame as hell!

Getter is the typical Eurovision fan favorite, like Laura was in 2009. Then Urban Symphony saved us from Laura generic, and I somehow hope Ithaka will save us from Getter.

Outloudz would be the same mistake as last year.

Choose wisely Estonia!

Hah... Urban Symphony's song "Rändajad" and "Rockefeller street" have the same author. Rockefeller street has a memorable melody and Getter a nice character. Ithaka Maria's just naked....

Radio broadcast from the rehersal starts 16:00 CET @ Raadio 2 but I'm not sure if there is a point of listening it if you don't speak Estonian.

Anyways, you can listen it here: http://live.err.ee/raadio2/

So what if they have the same author??

That doesn't say anything. Getter is Eurovision plastic.

Have you ever seen naked people? If she's naked, so is Getter.

Is that all you can say about her entry? that's lame.

But hey, if you like Getter the most then good for you, I can still see the Laura/Urban Symphony case, where Laura had a much more plastic song in English and offcourse was the Eurovision fan pre-favorite, but Urban Symphony won in the end (thank God).

Now Ithaka's song is very different than Urban Symphony's for sure, but it's still much more different and original and in Estonian than Getter's more typical stuff.

Dear A-Lister, if you like that song, that doesn't mean that other European countries like that. And when you watch YT videos, then Getter's song has much more comments from other countries who say that this song is fabulous, but most comments on Ithaka video are written by Estonians- After all, we need to send a song what others like not something that we like and it turns out to be a catastrophe...

As I already said: Ithaka's song is too Balkan-style for me and she just repeats the same phrase all the time "hoppa pa rei hoppa pa rei hoppa pa rei hoppa pa rei hoppa pa rei hoppa pa rei hoppa pa rei hoppa pa rei"
Also she didn't had much of a stage show during the semifinals xrollinglol

What you tend to forget though is that Eurovision fans quite often are not reflecting the general "European taste", and those comments and voting are made by Eurovision fans mostly, not the general viewer that will watch ESC.

Therefor I made my comparison with Laura/Urban Symphony. Laura was the big pre-favorite if you asked the Eurovision fans, but Urban Symphony gave Estonia its best result in Eurovision for a long time.

The general viewer is quite different from those Eurovision fans, one can only guess what "Europe" will like, none of us can really say.

ALOT of people outside Estonia are praising Ithaka Maria aswell though, so this is not a fight about "who gets most Eurovision fans comments".

For me Ithaka is way more original and interesting, while Getter is more the typical pop song that Eurovision fans tend to like, but whole Europe? Dunno..

I really want to see Getter's winning with my whole heart. Her song is the best, and it's my favourite in Eesti Laul.
