The entertainment industry non-profit Creative Community For Peace (CCFP) has released a statement in support of the ESC 2019 in Tel Aviv.

The statement, signed by over 100 entertainment executives and personalities — among them: “The Talk” host Sharon Osborne, KISS’ Gene Simmons, music attorney Donald S. Passman, Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande managers Scooter Braun and Allison Kaye, Propagate Content chief Ben Silverman and WME co-founder and head of television Rick Rosen — comes in response to efforts by the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which includes vocal supporters like Roger Waters of Pink Floyd fame.

“This year, approximately 200 million people will watch, visit and take part in the Eurovision Song Contest, celebrating music and the diversity of our different cultures,” said Ari Ingel, Director of CCFP. “The members of the entertainment industry who have signed this statement, along with the thousands of individuals who have endorsed its message, all believe in building bridges (! as an Austrian, I smile) through music and the arts as a means to achieving greater understanding and peace in the region.”

A couple of former ESC acts also signed that letter, most notably Baccara (Luxembourg 1978) and Betty Missiego (Spain 1979)

What is a victim complex and how is it applicable to Eurovision? Cowing mentality?

Making assumption that people will hate good result from juries or be happy with a bad result BEFORE IT HAPPENS!? We don't know what will be the jury/public vote but you're already presuming/complaining that people hate you and making a fuzz about it. :( (You should relax, honestly, I have nothing against swedish entries but I'm quite tired to read "everybody hates us" when absolutely nobody told absolutely nothing about Sweden in the current discussion :? ).

Spain made the right choice at their NF for the very first time ever, so I guess that will bode well for them

Imo it doesn't meaning anything... In the last month the odds from most of countries inside the Top 10 shortened a bit at least twice and a few hours the values were back to normal, while others had increased and then decreased again.. Small battles between betting houses I guess :)

This is what Madonna will give us on the stage of Tel Aviv.
The 5 minute show costed 6 million dollars.

The first rehearsal already goes to show why it was a great idea to have LED walls abolished last year. They are back to being tacky, distracting and obnoxious.

I can do without them and Joci's disembodied geriatric heads floating through time and space like some primordial, Kingesque eldritch entity of doom.
