The slogan sounds a bit aggressive.

Well I guess it doesn't sound as meh and cliche as come together, celebrate diversity or we are one etc but I don't think it's anything great either. In fact I don't entirely understand the context of it? Dare to dream, it's a song contest not a space mission to mars.

"Dare To Dream B!tch!" would have been catchier imo xqueenbitch They probably were afraid to go all the way.

My favourite was "All aboard". It is so upbeat and catchy! It is a command and yet it has no imperative verb in it.

My least favourites are We Are One, followed by Come Together.

Dare To Dream is just another imperative that is why it comes across aggressive and unoriginal. Like Share The Moment, Feel Your Heart beat, Light your Fire, Come together, Celebrate diversity.... all imperatives but no one wants to be yelled at I suppose (except for the very submissive amongst us, bless'em)

The 00's were a terrible decade for Eurovision, but with some great and inoffensive mottos:

True fantasy
Feel the rhythm (first motto of its imperative kind)
Awakening
Under the same sky
Magical rendez-vous
Modern fairytale

Belgrade had the best motto with "Confluence of sound" and Moscow was great without a motto.

If Vienna would have had "Build a bridge", it would have sound less harmonic.

xyeah I agree: "Confluence of sound" was perfect and relevant. I wish they'd defend more music-centered mottos in the future.

"All Aboard!" was nice too because there was a strong concept and visual identity behind it.

Well, I also dislike this slogan. To me it doesn't sound aggressive but it sounds definitely depressing. The Eurovision week is probably one of the happiest weeks of the whole year (for us fans, for the singers, etc.) and we are living the dream! "Dare to dream" makes it look like we are all depressed, hopeless and we don't even have strenght to live and make plans for the future. It's weird. It honesly makes me feel a little sad. I never felt this with any other ESC slogan. :?
