Guys I had another Eurovision dream! This time I don’t remember heaps, except that Belgium came 23rd (oddly specific i know), Slovenia came between 12th-14th, the Netherlands came 4th, and the winner was Hungary! And then also after Hungary won they announced that the contest was being expanded to the Middle East and the 2019 contest was going to be hosted in Saudi Arabia lmao

I gotta be very honest. This year I literally have no predictions whatsoever. Everyone impresses me except for a few right now  I could see 15 of them qualifying.

Didn't they say the ribs behind the stage can or will move for certain performances? In all videos and pictures they always have the same position so I wonder if they are going to use it?

Keep in mind that it's only an unofficial random one... The "reliable" one will be conducted after the next rehearsals...

My Impression After the First Rehearsals:

100% Safe:

:bg: One of the Best and modern Songs in this Semi + Lots of Diaspora (not that they needed it).
:ee: Best Female Voice and Impressive Visuals. Big Instant Appeal and the Only one of its Kind.
:il: I still dont think it will win, but Qualification wont be a Problem.

80-90% safe:

:cy: Impressive Performance, good Startposition, Hitpotential and lots of Geographical Allies
:cz: Only if he recovers of Course. The Change in the Performance might decrease his Chances. But still good Chances despite 0 Guaranteed Points. Huge Chartpotential.

60-70% Safe:

:gr: Didnt impress me too much, but its songwise still good enough to make it plus Lots of Geographical Allies
:am: Best male Voice and lots of Diaspora.
:at: Best Male Voice as well and Huge Charisma and Stagepresence. The Only Problem is the Lack of at least a few Guaranteed Points.
:lt: Very Romantic Song + Performance without being Kitschy. The Presscentre was also very impressed. Also shell get a few Guaranteed Points.

50% Chance:

:az: Its still a bad Song, but azeris are usually Experts when it comes to Staging. Also she went to some Small Countries to promote her Song.
:fi: Her Livesinging could be better. Im also not sure what the Non-Gays think of it.
:be: Vocally it was solid (but not good), but somethings missing at the Staging. Every Year needs a Fanflop, so who knows...

30-40% Chance:

:hr: After Her Performance, Franka is definitely in the Race again. But will probably rely mostly on Juries.
:al: Vocally ok, but Visually not. But, it will get some guaranteed and its the only Rocksong.
:ch: Instant appeal, but not outstanding. Vocally ok. No Guaranteed Points.
:by: Not sure what to think about this. It seems to be a Love/Hate-Entry. I think Juries will kill him, while Televoters might mayyyybe put him 8th-10th Place.

10-20% Chance:

:mk: Bad Livesinging and Outfit. But still popular among Fans. Also lots of Guaranteed Points.
:ie: Its not completely chances, but, well...

0%

:is: The Only good Thing is his Voice, but he cant save this Horrible Song.

I'd truly love this to be the case but what makes you think so? :(

:mk: won last year the Bulgarian Televoting with that horrible Performance/Singing, Also Albania will give huge Points and Croatia and Switzerland a Few. So at least 25-28 should be guaranteed.

I haven’t been watching the rehearsals as I don’t want to be spoiled, but I’ve seen a couple of photos and Azerbaijan particularly looks great! Also I’m remaining certain that Lithuania will qualify.

i think something's lacking without a LED screen in Eurovision

Can I just say that this stage is - as far as I can judge from the snippets - the worst one in the last six or seven years...

Well, none of the so called favorites that had their rehearsal today have impressed, rather the opposite.

It is interesting that the stageing can be such a vital component.

Right now it looks good for countries that already had their expensive and impressing stageing done ages ago...;)

Like Norway? I concur! Incredible rise through the odds for Rybak today :D

Except for the pillars in the middle of the background (or whatever these are) - too dominant - I think it's a pretty good stage.
