I had no expectations but I liked it! Vocally she needs to improve, and it’s a pity the chorus is a bit underwhelming, but this is one of the best so far. 8 points!

YES YES YES! Finally my favorite wins DMGP (Last was with Rasmussen).
Saba struggled with her in-ears in all of her performances and sounded off. Her winner performance though was good!
:10: points - a little less for the live performance but we are hopeful for Malmö

DMGP 2024 Final is now over. The winner is Saba – "Sand". Perhaps this is the most modern of the three songs that reached the Superfinal, but I'd say it's to be valued more for the multi-function light show than the song itself. That said, although we saw the multi-display light show in the main performance and Superfinal performance, thay haven't had that for the represe; instead they've just had white lights, flashing at times; plus falling glitter, for the reprise performnace. Congratulations to Saba for winning. Although not the one I wanted to win out of the three Superfinalists, she was the favourite to win tonight, and did well to get to the Superfinal, and then win out of the three Superfinalists.

So Saba will represent Denmark with the song "Sand" in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö in May. Denmark is drawn to perform in the first half of the Second Semi-Final on Thursday 9 May 2024. The United Kingdom doesn't vote in that semi-final, so I won't be able to vote for Denmark that evening. Good luck to Saba in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 Second Semi-Final, and in the Grand Final if she gets there.

Well done also to Basim and Janus Wiberg for getting to the Superfinal; they did exceptionally well to get that far. Well done also to the other five finalists for reaching tonight's final, after going through DR's internal selections.

I’ve given ‘Sand’ a 6 for now. If they fix the awful first verse, it could become a 7. But since the song in itself was only my 4th choice, I can’t go further up.

2 jury winners with :dk: :md: and 2 runaway televote winners :lt: :ee:

Saba coming 3rd in televote is scary (although just by 1 point). Denmark really just voting randomly

‘Sand’ sounds like something from the same factory that produced ‘Always On The Run’. I think Isaak is a much better singer than SABA, but SABA’s song is a bit more melodic.

Well apparently she was one of my joint favourites in this NF, so I am happy with this outcome. Although I'm not hyped by the victory because generally speaking the line up was mediocre and uninspiring. That said, it's a decent song and I like her quite a bit. It's average but based on my current scoring I'm going to be generous with an above average score of :7:

It’s nothing revolutionary yet somehow I’m digging this very much. It’s actually very good Scandi pop! It feels like a bit like former :dk:, like 10 years ago.

For me it actually is very catchy.

:8: quite strong points from me! My current no 3 in my Ranking.

I'll stick to my initial :5:
I really would love to see :dk: back in the final. It's time they qualified and this song could manage to do so but Saba really needs to sell the song better because right now she's struggling and it doesn't sound flattering at all. The performance was quite static as well.

It's a borderline qualifier, imo.
Not the comeback we've been hoping for but it will make do in May unless the internally chosen songs will be top tier quality

Nothing revolutionary here, but judging from the recaps I think it was the best choice Denmark could have had. It's a :6: for me.

In my opinion, Saba's voice was nowhere near strong enough in the verses in DMGP tonight. She needs to improve, and sing the verses much more strongly at the ESC in May.

Lets assume tonight's multi-function light show used for "Sand" can be recreated exactly as it was tonight by SVT at the Malmö Arena in May. Surely that alone won't be enough to compenstate for weak vocals at the Eurovision Song Contest.

I mean I agree, her vocals are the biggest issue. I was mainly talking about the song though, which I’m somehow really enjoying.
