Tiden er gået i stå

Du er kvinden, jeg еr manden
Hele gulvet er gået fra forstanden
La' os øve på hinanden

Tiden er gået i stå

Don't provoke them, they might send nudes of Kim Woodburn.

Tbh, even if I did want to post a photo of kim's saggy backside on here I wouldn't be able to as I'm that technophobic I have no idea how to do it. I tried to post a photo of myself in the gallery thread but failed. Tried to use Flikr and I don't think I did it right.

Just to clarify I am a 31 year old man for anyone who might actually think I'm an elderly glam grandma. xangel

My instagram is Ianzpolite for anyone that's interested haha.

Oh surprise Denmark being Denmark as usual. I'm generally not into 80s style of music, but this is just irrelevant and boring anyway.

:3: pts idk

Relistened to this a few times.

I can remember this now aaand... it's still just ok for me lol. Whatever, I don't mind, wouldn't skip it and wouldn't be sad if it did qualify for the finale (and it might because it's so distinct from anything else in that semi right now.)

The stage show is a bit too simple for the song however. WHERE. IS. THE. ENERGY. I thought Jesper was an actor by vocation? No wonder he's trying his hand at singing then....x

The fact that he remained fairly static makes it even more disappointing that he was so off-key most of the time. (A little better the third time though.)

"although not perfect" <-- it's lies like that which led to her not reaching the superfinal she DESERVED.

First impression, my 2 favourites are 'Abracadabra' (sweet interesting ballad with a slight theatrical touch which appeals to me) and 'Silver Bullet' (Electro-pop/Schlager & banger of the type I like, makes me think of my favourite MF-years 2003-2009). 'Står lige her' (kind of Synth-pop with a stadium rock touch) is not bad either.

I see many are critical of this year's Danish MGP entries but personally I only found 1 song in their national final last year ('Human') which I liked on the level of my top 3 above, so it comes down to personal music taste. That said, Denmark seldom pick my favourites for ESC so I would not be surprised if they select something else. Best of luck!
As kinda expected, Denmark chose a different winner than one of my favourites, it happens most years.

I like (pop)schlager music but it needs to be good and quality as I see it and the Danish winner is for me a poor example of the genre, sounds as others have mentioned like a poor 1980s ESC-song and is not that well sung either I think.

Still, I wish our southern neighbours best of luck in ESC in May. 3 points from me

Ps. As for singing in your mother tongue, that is not important to me in ESC. Main thing for me is a good melody.

My verdict on OOPH is not as bad as I thought it would be.

As cheesy as it is, this might stand out for being a track lifted straight from the 1980s. It's not bad because it does make my feet step, and it's as bright and cheerful similar to what 🇩🇰 would usually send. You got that reverbed toms, them variations of guitars, the bright reverbed piano, the characteristic e-piano bells, and the 1980s way of writing a composition. But it's really tipping on the fence between being a nostalgic recreation or a dated replica of an 80s disco. It's as if you're not a Danish person you might automatically have a love-hate relationship towards the song.

Again, this might not be everybody's cup of tea (or anyone's cup of tea, I guess?), but there's a guarantee for it to stand out as the only 'classic' 1980 track, except if 🇬🇷 decided to bring the same thing. It might receive the same result with Leonora, being an unwanted song that dark-horsed its way to the left side of the scoreboard.

Do I like it? :5:, perhaps? It's not offensive, just okay.

Yes, absolutely, but the problem with Billa is, that they have launched the Jö! Card to spy on your shopping habits. So I quit and became a Sparboy.

I think it's hilarious how Viennese pastry became Danish, literally. The Americans only know it as Danish. But Viennese Danish is much better than American Danish, which is oozing maple syrup and sugar and it makes you wanna die instantly.

During the evening of Saturday 6 March 2021 I watched the Danish national final, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2021, live online from the UK. Here is a video with my opinions on the eight finalists from eighth to first as to my ranking in My Eurovision Scoreboard, not the order of performance.
