Quick thoughts on the danish songs:
"Anywhere" Simone Emelie
I always expect the worst in Denmark, cause it is so rarely I like their entries. This is a decent start though. Chill out disco song that might not work in Eurovision, but I enjoy it. Not bad, but not a winner.
"Hold My Breath" Rasmus Faartoft
Pretty decent chorus, but the verses is losing my concentration. A nice try, but it doesn't work for me for some reason. May grow later perhaps.
"That Vibe" Leeloo
Haha, what the heck is this? It is like psychedelic Daft Punk and funk. Reminds a little of Belgium 2007, but more slick and more real. Could be worse actually. But nothing for ESC.
"Love Is Forever" Leonora
Oh this is actually really cute. And her voice is very nice. Reminds me of a song, but I can't for my life come up with what song it is similar too. But anyhow, this is nice, even if it is slightly repetive towards the end.
"Dronning Af Baren" Humørekspressen
I want to like this more than I do. It tries to be fun, psychedelic and cool, but still...it feels childish and pointless. So I just say no.
"Say My Name" Sigmund
Okay, DR has taken a pill or two when choosing these songs, cause this is even more psychedelic. A little repetive, but I do like it in a way. It has nice lyrics and the singer is interesting. Might be something decent on the cards here.
"League Of Light" Julie & Nina
This is really schlagerish, but I do find it pretty decent. Is this song having lyrics in Inuit-language or something? That makes this a little more interesting and the chorus is not bad. I do like this pretty much in the end.
"Dancing With You In My Heart" Marie Isabell
Nah, this is wrong kind of schlager for me. Way too old-fashioned for me. And cheesy. Worst song so far to be fair.
"Step It Up" Teit Samsø
Very Bon Jovi kind of a rock song. I like his voice quite a lot. But the chorus is horrible...I can't stand that kind of funk, just ewww...no!
"Kiss Like This" Jasmin Gabay
I often don't like when nordic countries does latin flavour, cause it is often done wrong. This is done pretty well, but I don't know, it is something too much in this too. Those kiss sounds is making me hide behind a pillow...just stop. But the chorus is pretty nice.
I don't know what I feel about this...I must be honest and say that it might be the best DMGP I've heard in ages (and I have hated this NF for many years...)....but at the same time it feels like I've been on a acid trip when listening through. I have to think on this for a while before judging which I like the most.
