Last place incoming :)

For next year, I hope they:
- change ESCZ back to what it was in 2022. Either do a proper, big production live NF or don't do it at all and do what was done in 2022. I appreaciate they are trying but in the end the low quality hurts both the competing artists and us as a participant
- secure the voting process - I still don't believe the results of this year's ESCZ were not tampered with somehow. Not accusing Aiko (love her), but it was shady af and imo not properly investigated, probably swept under the rug. It left a sour taste in my mouth that made me not care about our participation this year at all

In my eyes the staging just does not go together with the song. But I might be wrong

Please watch this, it looks/sound very good here

I think she gonna do well, the staging from the camera screen looks on fire!
Don't lose hope guys

I actually really like this.

It's very good especially the link I posted, it looks so energetic, she can do this 🔥
I really hope that we will qualify. There is a chance, because I don ´t belive that songs from Latvia, Albania, Malta and San Marino and Georgia are better than CZ.

Kinda my feelings too.
I do not feel attached to this years ESC at all somehow. Last place in the odds and a mediocre song with barely a chance to Q.

The voting process was indeed strange, there is no way a contestant can have more votes than the rest togerther, especially with the gruesome performance Aiko delivered that evening. She has improved without any doubt and i do not blame her for the voting either.
We need a return to classical eurovision points voting, absolute votes are a no go as they can be rigged without a chance for correction.

We also need a proper selection process too. I still feel that with the low number of slots, many of these are already taken before by "buddies" of the HoD, whom he meets at songwriting camps and so on...we need more slots and mainly more transparency. Let us say if we have 7 slots, they should also publish the shortlist of 12-14 songs. Internal choices will always be made, but they must be made transparently.

It is sad to say, but despite the development (live show etc.), the quality of songs declines. ESC 2024 was the most enhanced one, but the songs were the blandest. So, rather have a modest show and good songs, than vice versa.

Enough said. 2025 will be better :-)

Yeah. I think we were at our peak in 2020, with almost all songs being at least qualifier worthy. Since then it was all about finding and picking that one correct option and this year there was probably none (although Mydy would have still had a slightly better shot imo).

Of course, perhaps there wasn't much to choose from in the first place - but I remember Kryštof saying on a podcast or a livestream that he doesn't have so much time and usually goes through the submissions rather fast, often skipping after 10-20 seconds. So unless you can catch his attention pretty fast (although he isn't the only one doing the preselection), you're very likely out - conformly to Spotify trends.

And yes, based on last years, it seems that if you want to make it to ESCZ, you either have to be a somewhat established name or participate in a songwriting camp. Which is really problematic - it leads to confirmation bias and situations like the one of a potential Eurovision winning Baby Lasagna being kept as a "reserve entry".

I do think that this year's selection was rather weak and that Pedestal was the strongest song.
But still 2022 and 2020 remain to be one of my favourite selections and Czechia has been excelling with stagings lately.

Awww, loving this! 10 points. Very underrated. The only thing I don’t like is her rehearsal outfit. Big no-go for me.

Backing vocals doing heavy lifting here. I am glad we are using them since it is allowed, but I hope Eurovision gets rid of them in the next years. Apart from that, the camera angles look messy, especially during the part where the dancers lift Aiko up. Like what is that camera angle? Why not some shot from the top?
I also think the colours don't work. Dark red and black LED backdrops with black outfits? I can barely see what is happening on the stage.

To be honest it's good and I seriously believe now that she will do great, what a staging!
From the start I knew her song was the right choice because it has so much paramore/avril lavigne vibes.
Although the concept behind it is so interesting.

To be honest I don't get the negativity, her staging is one of the best, it's not like the other have perfect staging.
Also the vocals are good, so no need to be that afraid.
