I'm seeing a certain exaggeration here as it happened after the victory of Friend Of A Friend. You can't say that a song is NQ without knowing the other songs in the semi-final. Everything will depend on the staging as well.

This is the reason why I never follow NFs. Disappointments waiting to happen. And it makes me hate the chosen song even more. Three of the songs could have easily been songs I would vote for, but this is just exactly the kind of music I dislike. I recognize it is not bad though, but I really hope it doesn’t do well.

My vote went to Pam, and Benny was my 2nd favorite so I am fine with their choice. Good luck :)

yay, I'm really happy about the results xyaaythey were rather unexpected, too. I was surprised We All Poop didn't do better in the jury and I was practically certain Olga would be at least top three in both so the results were really surprising to me.

Ben winning is a good thing imo - the song's good (placing so high with the juries is a good sign) and Ben is hardworking and will want to present himself (= and represent us) well so he will undoubtedly do his best to create a good performance. And he is a big name with a large fanbase which will make Eurovison more interesting for a lot of Czechs (and Czech media).

That was one of the reasons I didn't follow any NFs last year. However, it was not an enjoyable ride because I was very excited about it and couldn't wait. It was killing me inside that I wasn't able to come up with my own ranking (like anyone else), talk with ESC friends about the entries, etc. In the end, it wasn't worth waiting until mid-March to finally listen to all songs alltogether.

I imagine it can probably do very well at Eurovision but Kemama was the one song here that I think I actually actively dislike. It's really so far away from music I'd want to experience, and I'm very open. It's just sadly I can't open up for this. Leaves me feeling very cold.

I can only give a kind 3 points.
Once again, you took my words out of my mouth. Sctually this song was the least one I liked. Can't find any emotional connection to the song. Also 3 points from me. Sorry Czech, I really love you, but not THIS song.

Exactly, I remember last year when Lake Malawi won, everyone was so disappointed Barbora didn't win and predicted we would end up at the bottom of the semi. I see similar reaction now on some websites too...

Honestly, the more I think about it, the more I am happy. Don't get me wrong, Ben is around my 6th place in this selection.
Kemama is a divisive song. But even if only 10% of people like it, it doesn't matter, as long as the same amount of people votes for him.

He's probably not gonna pull a full out Netta, but I am quite optimistic about our chances.

Darling, I'd like to remind you that last year in the ESC-final you got just 7 televotes. S-E-V-E-N.

Btw, I am really mad at the juries as it's actually them who killed WAP.
WAP even beat Olga in our televote for the fuck's sake, a thing I could never imagine happening. What the heck is wrong with all of you juryguys?

Btw, do I remember correctly from the IG livestream with Ben that he said some revamp is possible, to create more of a buildup in the song? Maybe I just mistake it for someone else...
Your memory is correct. He said he will most probably sing the last verse an octave higher and they speculated together with Kryštof about maybe doing a combination of the studio and the unplugged version.

Exactly. Even if you people dislike him now, this is what Eurovision really needed in :cz:. We have had a few good results. Now it's time to also attract our viewers.

I can understand that.

Is their a plan for Czech Republic at ESC for the next couple years even though your HOD left going forward.

It seems Olga received less "televotes" than she brought liters of alcohol to that cafe.. :ROFLMAO:

Let's be honest, trying to make Czech televoters vote for "Dark water" was like giving pearls to pigs.
