Nope.

The only things that could bring us back is Slovakia's win or new management of Czech TV. Polish, Hungarian or anyone else's result is irrelevant imo.

But how you will win of you not compete? xthink

Well, coming last with 1 point, then second last with 9 points and last again with no points is hardly a record to be proud off. It wouldn't surprise me if they never return, especially in this current form.

Well they must realize the reason they got horrible results is because they sent horrible entries.

All three Czech entries make me feel bad.

But the feelgood songs of Slovakia (Hohrenie, I'm still alive) failed also, which is a real shame.

I agree! The fact that Czech Republic sent awful entries is not the only reason they did poorly.

Whether they're bad or good, Central European countries seem to always fail. Unlike Czech Republic, Slovakia tried hard to show its culture or comply with viewers'/juries' bad taste for anything Western-sounding : one intricate-structured powerful ballad in 2009, an ethnic uptempo song in 2010, a standard Americanized ballad in 2011 and a rock song in 2012... I mean in 4 years, they tried very different types of music, yet they didn't manage to qualify.

No wonder Slovakia withdrew. We'll see if Poland can achieve a good result this year.

Don't forget about Hungary. Also in central Europe, but with a 100% qualification record in this decade, plus a top ten last year.

They qualified but that's as far as it went. Apart from last year they did awful in the final.

I didn't forget it. It's the exception that proves the rule.
And Hungary did not qualify in 2009.

Still they qualified. I bet Czech Republic and Slovakia envy them like crazy.

Well, I wish Hungary would win this year. And so far, the should have won already at least twice (1994, 2007).

But you know, the winner is almost always amongst the Scandinavian, Soviet or Balkan families. So I doubt, Hungary will pull the victory with their beautiful song.

You mean 3 wins for almost 60 years (Yugoslavia, Serbia and Greece), we are soooo strong

Well, since televoting, it was only Germany which broke the family rules.

Besides winning, qualifying for the final is also much easier.

I'd like to see Czech Republic come back, Denmark didn't enter Eurovision for much of the 1970's but came back in the end.
