I liked all of Czech entries so far, including the 2008 trash kitsch fest. xlove But most of all I loved Gypsy.CZ, it was really refreshing especially for ESC standards. I'm so sad Czech Republic isn't interested anymore... hopefully if Slovakia comes back and makes great result they'll change their mind. :(

2008 could have been a guilty pleasure, but their desperation to add sounds to sound like the Greek entry that year in the final version, and the awful performance were just a flop in the making :lol:

Gypsy.cz = xpuke :lol:

I remember that song being mentioned in our prime time news, and it got some points from Croatia... even after ESC I heard it being played many times at clubs & resorts over here... ahahha

Czech Republic says that the competition is not so popular in Czech Republic.

Hmmm, you guys really like this song?
Tbh, I'm not a fan of Lucie Vondráčková. Lyrics of her songs are a laughing matter here - she is like 34 years old now and she still sings the same stupid, naive, teenage stuff like she did back when she was 17..

The last song of her that I like is called "Strach", but it was released in 2000

Not a bad song, but pretty much useless, knowing they will probably never participate in Eurovision again.

The Zombie song is catchy indeed, yeah it sounds a bit DisneyPop-ish, but so did that damn Krista Siegfrieds song in ESC 2013 that everyone loved for some strange reason... this one is miles better than that one.

As for lyrics, I hardly understand much so doesn't bother me... and ESC is not a lyrical contest anyways.... you can pretty much sing about walking the dog and you can get love by juries and public.

I read today, that Czech Republic withdraw for 2014 :(

How can they "withdraw" if they're not even in at the moment?

Anyways it wouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that they're not making a comeback.

Eurovision was a disaster for the Czech's. I doubt they will ever return to the contest for a long time. I think they joined too late so didn't fall into any bloc that they could of joined.

In the silly season obviously any piece of news is worth to be reported on, and Czechia hasn't even been out for so long compared to the likes of Morocco or Luxemburg.

The reason for their failure wasn't lack of "belonging" (although it's true Czech Rep. belongs to the central-European group that doesn't really have voting friends in this contest), rather their pretty awful attempts (sorry Czechia, but that's pretty much the truth).
