I really hope Poland does well this year so maybe Czech republic can come back next season, for the anniversary of ESC! :)

I love 2007 -Kabat - "Mala dama"..

Back then I disliked it, but now I appreciate it so much, it got only 1 point in semi! :(

Let's imagine Ewa Farna representing the Czech Republic... they would automatically get our 12 points. ;)

Don't get mad at me, but I still consider it as one of the worst songs in the ESC history. And I still don't understand why the Estonian watchers gave them this point. Listen to them :

Don't be that narrow minded when it comes to genres, I know it's not ESC friendly genre, but..you should be more opened for other genres.. ;) :)

To sing like Anmary from Latvia did:

"I was born in a distant 1980s
the year the German, Ralph Siegel won"

And then we will ALL sing together like Dervish from Ireland told us in 2007:

"And from Lissadel to Latvia
We're singing AS ONE CLAN"

"Mala Dama" is in the top-10 of the worst ESC songs in the history and it's not about being narrow minded or genres. The song is just unbearable as there are unbearable songs in every genre.

Czechs don't have a brilliant history in ESC at all unfortunately ....

I quite liked all three Czech entries, they managed to send three different genres and three different languages (Czech, English and Romani) in three years.
The EBU never published the jury results from the Semi Finals in 2009, I wonder whether Aven Romale managed to score any points from the juries!

There wasn't 50/50 system in the semifinals in 2009, only in the final. In the semifinals juries just saved one song, Finland and Croatia this time ;)

Theoretically, Czech Republic could have finished 2nd in the Jury Vote that year, since all we know is that Finland scored higher than the other non-qualifiers.
I think that's quite unlikely though!

The juries taste seems quite different now from 2009, juries now probably wouldn't have given many points to Lose Control.

Well, juries killed "Lose control" in the final anyway and Croatia was not really high either.... Being saved means they liked both songs more than the non-qualifiers, not that they actually rated these songs high.
