Don't you guys remember when you were her age? Your childhood was long gone and surely you didn't magically become a totally different person on the day of your 18th birthday.

Yeah, I remember pretty well what it was like being 17. And I work with kids now. That is largely why I think the way I do. The transition is also not childhood -> adult, not by a very long shot.

I think it's pretty shocking that the EBU/Marvin Dietmann think that it's a good idea to let an underaged teenager/minor perform and sing on stage whilst being surrounded by a bunch of topless men.

I haven't closely followed the rehearsal, but I thought the vid and promo pics had too many cleavage shots of a 17 year old

That's not the same thing tho. In Germany, you're a minor until you're 18. It relates to a lot of stuff: bank account, driving licence, alcohol, etc. Age of consent is not a clear line, but also depends on the age of the partner (for example obviously younger Teens can have Sex, but it can be a crime depending on age gap).

Silia is a minor, by German law, that's why Germans will call her a minor. The same age applies, afaik, to Australia & Cyprus.

The topless man are also not the only issue. Her cleavage and "usage" of it in MV, promo picks etc is too. It's just a lot of banking on sex appeal for a young girl (or, you know, a minor).

This isn’t too bad actually. A bit flat at times when nothing really happens in the songs and she goes for silent dance moves instead but apart from that it has a nice beat. 7 points.

An extremely tired formula, overused by Cyprus, but while all the other times it was pleasant, this time it’s simply half sad. Cheap production, bad music video and really aged, generic sound. Which is all a big shame cause Silia looks talented, kind and charming.

4 points only for Silia.

Many people predict NQ but i think she will make it 9th or 10th.
The fact we have seen this kind of entry again and again doesn't mean there is not a number of people who like and vote these anyway. However El Diablo finishing only 7th at t/v of semifinal and 15th at the t/v of the final in 2021 was alarming for the potential of such entries that seems that is limited most of the times. And since El Diablo which got much more hype than this one eventually finished only 16th then don't expect this one to go higher.

I was worried for her. But yes, 2 of my girlie pops went through. I thought the staging and camera angles are pretty effective. I'm liking the turquoise blue-green lighting effects. Silia gave her all but her vocals are not good because of the dance moves. But I'm glad it sailed through and got second half. Well done!
