What's the rationale behind this statement? It sounds so random and far-fetched.I do not believe they will get through along with Luxembourg. Just one of them is making it.

I do not believe they will get through along with Luxembourg. Just one of them is making it.
And Croatia is a sure Q.And that's Luxembourg.
There's no way all Cyprus, Serbia, Lithuania, Ireland and Ukraine will q and Cyprus has the least chances and diaspora to make it through.
I don't think it's a diaspora issue, the song just hasn't managed to garner a lot of interest, personally I think it's a weak generic entry.
I think Luxembourg has the same problem but might benefit from the later RO slot and the novelty factor of being back.
At the moment I see Cyprus as a NQ and Lux as a very borderline Q.
I agree 100%. I think the song (and Silia in particular, she seems to be an exceptional performer) had a lot more staging potential. It's an okay staging but it could have been spectacular...In the video it sounds good and looks nice. But a typical Marvin Dietmann staging, nice but nothing special.
I think it's pretty shocking that the EBU/Marvin Dietmann think that it's a good idea to let an underaged teenager/minor perform and sing on stage whilst being surrounded by a bunch of topless men.
Am I the only one who thinks that it's quite disgusting?
She is of legal age in most of europe, including Germany which apparently has a legal age of 14!!!???I think it's pretty shocking that the EBU/Marvin Dietmann think that it's a good idea to let an underaged teenager/minor perform and sing on stage whilst being surrounded by a bunch of topless men.

they are just dancing to a feel good pop song.

I'm not shocked, bcs it's not surprising, but I don't like it either. In general, anyone going for "Sex sells" is alright with me (as long as they can back it up with quality), but I don't like it with minors. It always taps into "young impressionable girl getting exploided" territory for me. (And I'm saying this as a mid-30 woman knowing how I was as a teen). It's also not even fitting for this entry for me - which makes feel even more like "well, it ain't good, let's just sex it up".
No idea what the age of consent discussion has to do with this.
