The song grew on me alot. Call it dated or generic, but it's just so easy on the ears. Hoping it will qualify. Upgrading this to a :8:.
Need my girly pop in the finals together with :lu:.

In the video it sounds good and looks nice. But a typical Marvin Dietmann staging, nice but nothing special.

And that's Luxembourg.

There's no way all Cyprus, Serbia, Lithuania, Ireland and Ukraine will q and Cyprus has the least chances and diaspora to make it through.
And Croatia is a sure Q.
I am not confident with their chances.

I don't think it's a diaspora issue, the song just hasn't managed to garner a lot of interest, personally I think it's a weak generic entry.

I think Luxembourg has the same problem but might benefit from the later RO slot and the novelty factor of being back.

At the moment I see Cyprus as a NQ and Lux as a very borderline Q.

And Luxembourg at least has some french in it and the instrumental isn't as generic imo.

I agree 100%. I think the song (and Silia in particular, she seems to be an exceptional performer) had a lot more staging potential. It's an okay staging but it could have been spectacular...

I think it's pretty shocking that the EBU/Marvin Dietmann think that it's a good idea to let an underaged teenager/minor perform and sing on stage whilst being surrounded by a bunch of topless men.

Am I the only one who thinks that it's quite disgusting?

Don't see an issue in the slightest. The choreo doesn't seem suggestive in any way, and who cares if they are topless?

P.S. age of consent in most countries in Europe are 16/17, maybe even 15. Just clarifying your 'underage/minor' remark, not whether I think it is ethical/moral.

She is of legal age in most of europe, including Germany which apparently has a legal age of 14!!!???

Guys, you're comparing apples and oranges.

A 14 year-old teenager might be allowed to have sex in Germany but ONLY if it's with another partner who's older than 14 and BELOW 18. Also, it's something they would do in private.

We have a minor teenager on stage - performing with male adults who are topless. Maybe even interacting with them or touching them? (We still have to see that part of the performance).
Actually, this should ring a bell, imo.

The song itself isn't "sexy" at all - it's a straight-forward pop song - maybe even suitable for teens or JESC - I fail to see how it was a good idea to try to "sexualise" the whole act by telling the older/adult dancers to go topless.

I'm not shocked, bcs it's not surprising, but I don't like it either. In general, anyone going for "Sex sells" is alright with me (as long as they can back it up with quality), but I don't like it with minors. It always taps into "young impressionable girl getting exploided" territory for me. (And I'm saying this as a mid-30 woman knowing how I was as a teen). It's also not even fitting for this entry for me - which makes feel even more like "well, it ain't good, let's just sex it up".

No idea what the age of consent discussion has to do with this.

I agree with you as well - I don't mind "sexy performances" either but it makes me sick to my stomach to think that Dietmann/:cy: delegation thought it would be a great idea to make use of the "sex sells" approach with a minor/teenager.

I honestly think that Eurovision is a family show as well and there should be boundaries - sexualising a harmless pop song performed by a teenager should be one of them.

The photos of her and the dancers in shirts were perfectly fine and even though I dislike the song (I think I'm too old for it since I hit the 30's recently and I moved on from such pop songs), I think that Silia is very talented and has a good voice control - I really fail to see why the "sex sells" approach was necessary.

This is still my favourite pop bop of the year. Fail to understand why the majority seem to like Luxembourg more than this. Sure, it's Cyprus by numbers, but when you do it so well, why not continue on that trajectory xup

Not treating Silia like an adult is a bit belittling imo.
Don't you guys remember when you were her age? Your childhood was long gone and surely you didn't magically become a totally different person on the day of your 18th birthday.
