Cyprus CYPRUS 2016 - Minus One - Alter Ego

Yeah, Cyprus is picking up a lot of momentum. It could end up doing a lot better than people think. Deservedly too, it's a great song.

What do people think it will do? I'd say its looking good for Top 10 at least.

Personally I'm expecting somewhere around 5th, give or take a few spots. It's powerful, and arguably the most standout rock entry in a year with a lot of them; if they stage and perform it well enough, I'm hoping and expecting they'll be rewarded for it.

I'm kinda late with reactions, but this song is one of the few I couldn't finish... why? Mainly because I don't see this swedish produced rock/metal (or whatever it is pretending to be) as something good. It reminds me of that awful band Amaranthe... terrible entry, but surprisingly not the worst. 1 point

As with Bosnia, this no longer feels "stand out" now that other entries have been chosen, it may not even qualify I would like it to though, I stick with 8 points for Cyprus.

I really don't see what others see in this. Someone compared this to manga 2010 but that song was much more unique and appealing to a bigger audience, but this just feels dated in comparison I don't feel there's nothing new to the table in this rock song, I admit this has a better melody than Montenegro but Montenegro were a bit more bold with testing new sounds (even though it didn't ended up the way it could). This is just bland rock IMO

It's a guaranteed qualifier, and likely top 10 in the final, I would imagine. This stood out from the moment it was picked, and considering the sheer number of poor quality songs selected since then, if anything, I'd say it stands out even more.

Cyprus is one of my favorites this year. It will qualify i believe but i don't think it can win. A place in top 5 is really difficult for Cyprus.
