Changing my :8: to a :12:, really got into the song after the first impression and even when looking for their previous work, found the gem that is "Angela" a song that shouldn't be so epic and fun considering that the lyrics are about Angela Merkell in the bathroom

wow this is actually a thousand times better than their actual ESC entry

I wish they prepared something more electronic like this.

Excuse me but this is actually a banger ? It would benefit from louder /harsher vocals but the instrumental is totally my jam. It would have been so interesting to see it on stage.

Regarding their current entry, I still have no idea how to grade this. It lacks cohesion in the first part but they decided to go all out at the end and the chorus stays in your head. This is a hot mess that needs to open the semi indeed. I'm leaning more on the positive side so a 6 ? 7? However, they need to rework the staging, it will without a doubt leave people that don't follow ESC season confused about their intention.

This has to open semi 1. The absolute madness it would be.

Don't commetators usually provide some context during the postcard? I feel like viewers will be ticked off that what they're seeing is a form of criticism of Russia.
That would be amazing, I so want to hear what Graham Norton will have to say about it

I´m gonna be a bit reserved and give our entry a :6: for now (might get elevated in the future).

It was my second favorite song behind HD if we were to look at studio versions only.

The things I like:
  • melody of verses and chorus (even though its a rather simple melody)
  • the unpolished old school punk rock sound combined with industrial heavy beats (those beats actually remind me of a certain song from Laibach)
  • that choir at the second half of the song
While it took me a bit to get used to the rewind section and the overall disjointed structure, I genuinely like it now.
It fits the band´s aesthetic and it wouldn´t be the same without it.

Why not a bigger grade though? There is no segment in the song that I dislike, but there are some segments that make me wish for more.

Whether you agree with me or not, I would really appreciate some revamp. I don´t want them to do any plastic surgery on the song but I would like if they enhance some stuff. I would like for industrial techno beat and those guitars to be stronger and more prominent. Mainly in the verses. I would also like for the choir to be even further enhanced.
I guess one more personal thing that I would have wished is if the first chorus is a tad bit longer before moving on to the second verse but I suppose its their artistic choice to have it be like that.

Overall, I am quite happy with our entry this year. This is one of those rare occasions where we are represented by a song that I would gladly listen to in my own time.

There is really not that many of those in our catalog. "Tick Tock" I still listen from time to time. Also, maybe "Lighthouse".
For anything else that I like, I would have to go back to the 00´s and prior.

the ŠČ! sound thing reminded me of the random sounds like shhhjjjjuppp in a song like Tanz mit Laibach, the choral things in the background, the militaristic look, the attitude to shock... just small parts that remind me of Laibach but then in a colorful and punk way. ;)
I would rather say the industrial techno thump beats is Laibach-esque rather than the punk rock part.

A question for Croatian members on here, how famous is Let 3 in Croatia, and in ex-yugo countries? And have they been around for a long time?
