Mine is flabbergasted, I don't know if it is commonly used but anyway I'm flabbergasted by the negative comments on this thread.I love the word serendipity but sadly I am yet to use it in actual speech!
Really don't want to turn this into a politics thread (though I might be a bit late for that, to be honest) but I can't let praise of that awful man slide. He also said more specifically...
Vladimir Putin a 'Crocodile' Who Cannot Be Trusted—Boris Johnson
The British PM said it's "vital" that Western countries continue to help Ukraine deal with the "crocodile" Putin.www.newsweek.com
IDK what his internal policies had been like, but he was one of a kind when it came to this war.
Honestly: mentioning Bohemian Rhapsody in this context is blasphemy!I haven’t set my vote in the poll yet.
I‘m torn between this is genius or bullshit.
I do think the message is so important and why not use a platform like Eurovision!
On the other hand - if everyone did that we soon have a lot of songs with a hidden political message.
Musically, it’s the same.
It’s intentionally ridiculous - do we really want that in Eurovision? Not really.
On the other hand it’s almost a piece of art, reminds me a bit of Queen‘s Bohemian Rhapsody, which also has these crazy changes in style included.
But then again, Mama SC is less catchy and the melody isn’t as appealing as Bohemian Rhapsody.
I don’t know. Let me think about it for another day…
As you should be!After seeing more clips of Let 3, I'm both excited and terrified of what they'll prepare for the actual semi-final.
Honestly: mentioning Bohemian Rhapsody in this context is blasphemy!
I wonder what Mr. Taylor and Dr. May think about this.I apologize!
This is, of course, correct, but if you see both songs as ART, they way they built up the song, and what crazy style change is concerned, they are on par!
step over your shadow, have some fun and make your mops happy, too.I welcome the message with open arms, but the music definitely not (it is too chaotic for me). But I still see the pleasure in having this at ESC. I am (unfortunately) sticking with my one point.
Bless her soul
"this song's about grandma being a psychopath. i think" Honest vocal coach acting like a cretin as usual however what people need to remember is that we in the eurofandom are in the 0.01% of eurovision viewers and eurovision for the overwhelming majority is about immediacy, viewers arent going to look into the lyrics or analyse what theyve just seen or listen to the song again outside of viewing the song in a semi/grand final.
Obviously former yugoslav countries can easily work out what is being said but the locals of other countries are going to struggle that doesnt make them dumb or malicious it just means they are trying to make sense of what they can see.
I dont mind the performance but outside of neighbouring countries to Croatia the content of the song is going to be hard to understand and its success will instead be as a result of the absurdity of the performance.
