Croatia CROATIA 2021 - Albina - Tick-Tock

After waking up, I listened to both songs again (Albina and Nina) and I'm still utterly disappointed I just lost my favourite Croatian song since 2009. INSTEAD, we got a generic song which is somehow a mix of a JESC-entry and Belarus 2019. The chorus is indeed catchy and overall, I don't mind this song but the verses and the pre-chorus with that high note are so irritating. I hate it how she sounds when she's trying to belt as well. It sounds so exhausting and irritating.
Gosh, I read online (YouTube) that Dora was rigged because of the running order as well as calls and votes being "returned"? Any chance this is true? Any Croatian members? What's the press saying in your country? Did you have the same experience?

I also believe that they put Nina as first to not let her win. I know after a huge disappointment people often say "the song was robbed". It is the first time since ages that I feel so. So far, I NEVER had a Croatian entry I supported, and it didn't happen again. I feel upset and sad at the same time. But that's an experience that we have to go thru now and then. It's a part of ESC and I have to live with it. I am concentrating now at my other faves and hope I won't be disappointed (especially Finland

I've changed 0 pt to 1 pt thanks to dancers. From this point it can only go up, but not by much. I can upgrade her few more points thanks to dancers, but not by much.

Well it's one of my least favorite eurovision countries. Feminnem and Franka were the only entries I rooted for.
And Jacques Houdek traumatized me, so yes I'm probaly hard on croatia.

Nina (rightfully) complains about the running order.
However, she said that people texted her they weren't able to cast their votes/to vote for her (which I also read on YouTube).
Moreover, Nina said that during the rehearsals they played "Tick Tock" as the winning entry.
Personally, I don't know how to feel about this. The jury votes looked fake and ridiculous and the running order was a huge pile of shit and the worst one in any NF I could think of but this doesn't take anything away from Albina's victory.
The answer is clear: they WANT to remain in the semi ...

We really have to wait for the Croatian members like Euterpa to give detailed information.
But not that I like having Nina win and represent Croatia with a team that does not support her... for the second time.

The winning song is OK. There is some 80's sound to it. Would have never expected this from Croatia, so it's pretty refreshing.
But during the chorus, the backing track is basically doing the singing for her. Her voice is decent but then there isn't much dance choreography for her to screw up the vocals. The dancers' outfits actually reminded me of the ones from Cyprus 2019. Giving this a 7 for now.

My overall comments on the show after watching the performances:
- Didn't get the hype of Nina's song. It looks and sounds edgy but that's all.
- Did Ella got force to perform? She looks like she is dead inside. And that outfit is so not matching with the song (which is pretty decent).
- Colors is a pretty interesting song, realized it's written by Boris Milanov. But I am not sure about the grandma dance moves Bernarda is spotting.
- ToMA's performance and staging is pretty polished. I actually enjoyed it. The song is not bad too.
- Flilip got a great voice, but too bad the song is mediocre.
- The English lyrics in Beta's song is pretty cringy. She got pretty good vocals but I notice some of the ad-libs are pre-recorded. LOL.
- CAMBI is basically the Georgia's 2018. The harmonies are great, but the song is average.
- LOL @ Share the Love. It's a cringe-fest. The male singer got a good voice until he did the high note and cracked. Did they just get a random girl off the street to sing with him. She sounded so bad. Worst performance of the night.
- God another trainwreck of performance. Brigita wishes she has the cool vibe from Lea Sirk.
- Mia is basically budget Ariana Grande. She even sounds like her. The song got the 80s sound which is the popular sound. But I am not feeling the performance and the song.
- Think the quality songs overall are middling. I don't think any one would have helped Croatia win the contest. I am alright with Tick Tock winning. But if I have to choose, I would have preferred ToMA to get the winning ticket.

Was multitasking last night, and had Dora on one of the screens, and there were actually several songs I liked. But it was great seeing my favorite own the televoting like that. Best birthday present I got all day (and also the only one, but whatever).
Torn between 8 and 10, but giving it an 8 for now.

I hate it when people (and especially so-called 'professional' juries) cancel colorful entries. They must have a very borinkkk life where they shun everything fun and try hard to display themselves as 'music experts' with high quality taste.

As I'm done with my diss at certain people, let's talk about Tick-Tock;
It was my second in this NF. Am I wet over it? Hmmmm....... Not quite.
Do I love it? Yes.
Why? Well, it looks like a NQ as it stands right now, but I see SOOOO MUCH potential in it.
I think she needs Maruv-esque clothes for this song, what she wore yesterday was like she's on a trip to Afghanistan.
Like gurllll, if u is singing a bop like this, show us some skin!! Show us some ass! Drop your puss on the floor!
And those male dancers, they don't need any clothes. Make them dance with a jockstrap.
