Depends. I have had a little closer look at his works. Besides his blinky-blinky stuff he also plays around a lot with colors. Some of his creations actually look very nice and elegant, that makes me feel even more appalled for what he did to Nina and the Croatian act. He may know a thing or two about fashion design, but judging by how he dressed her he obviously thinks of the ESC as a freak show. He could have done a much better service to her.

Meh. I had a quick look at some of his designs when his name was first announced. He seems to be designing for J.Lo wannabes circa 2002. No thanks.

This. This is the reputation that ESC is getting even in the Balkans now. Let's not act like surprised because I have been seeing that coming for a couple of years now.

Ten years ago I would likely have agreed to the idea, but since the reintroduction of the jurys the contest took a different turn. A certain amount of OTT stuff will always be part of it but this is not the ESC, this is pop culture altogether. Madonna and Lady Gaga also had me often enough. Some people need an update on the contest.

In first 45 seconds of this video (in right corner above) is located TV which shows how Nina's performance looks at TV (shame they didn't put same angle for whole performance in this video so we could already see how it looks on TV ):

This kimono this is really too distractive IMO which is bad for song. I mean, Nina has great song and she also insists on statement that it should be about song and not dress and then she wears outfits that distract from song...Anyway, I like second dress (without those installations on hands) and wish Nina best of luck!

Apart from her, ehem, dress and kimono thing, I think it actually looks great. One of the few I actually look forward to seeing on TV.

Ohhh, I'm afraid! Is this me or her voice broke in last refrain when she sang "keeping meee safeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" (the pitch she has changed).

On livestream commentators said that "performance looks much different and really impressive on TV"

I am really curious how it'll look on TV tbh. This and the Russian performances are probably the ones I am looking forward the most from SF1.

That was my first thought as well. But I relistened it again and it seems to me like she changed it on purpose. Also the very end she seems to have changed a bit and made it more similar to the acoustic version.

Don't know if it's smart to change it on the day of jury rehearsal. Even though it really shows the strength of her vocal. Well, I hope she changed it and that it was not a wrong note, it really doesn't sound so.

I'm not sure if he refers to Croatian performance or the whole show, but yeah, let's hope everything is not ruined.

The last 30 seconds of the song can really save Croatia this year. I mean, the song is good, nothing wrong with it, but it hardly stands out now.

I really hope Croatia will finally qualify.

Holy crap; she was amazing More akin to the voice I fell in love with than anything else she's performed since the song was released.
