Escdaily: Nina has had some troubles with her voice this week, but nails her performance for “Lighthouse” during this jury rehearsal. In the refrains, she is flawless. In the lines between verse and refrain, she sometimes misses a note, but this is better than we have seen all week and good enough to pick up some jury points.

So, it seems mostly positive comments on vocal performance of Nina in jury rehearsal. I hope she earns much points tonight. Also, I wonder if those positive critics at least will react to betting odds which are worse as never for Nina and that is not good sign. Currently she is 25th in general ones and 10th to qualify in SF1 (while 5th in general odds of SF1). I do not expect her to be back where she used to be but at least if odds could start to shortening a bit as sign of good indicator.

This is a nice song and all that and however it turns out it will be good.

Nina has a really good song. One of the best this years. But I am afraid her stylist are ruining her chances. I am pretty sure than lots of televoters will only remember her as the "woman with that outfit"... And I am afraid that 15 years from now we might be watching Croatia 16 in one of these reviews looking back on all the laughable things that have been worn on stage by the ESC participants of the past...

I though Croatia had a sure top 10 entry. Now I am far from sure anymore. Something simple and effective would suit this song.

Yes. I guess I was a bit unclear; I was talking about what Nina is wearing on stage. That outfit sure isnt simple and effective. I am so afraid that it will attract all the attention from her beautiful voice and song - to what she is wearing.

Well, I hope you are right. But I still think this will come across as way too dramatic for many people - at least in my part of Europe....But anyway; fingers crossed!

has returned in the great style! Amazing song, amazing singer and everything works out really well. This is a type of song that works out both with juries and the televoting so I can see Croatia doing great this year. And ofc......for me, a final is not questionable even in the slightest

Well, I hope you are right. But I still think this will come across as way too dramatic for many people - at least in my part of Europe....But anyway; fingers crossed!

But it needs to be dramatic, otherwise it'd be like Czech Republic relying on the voice. ^^

I really don't think so. This isn't the Eurovision Fashion Contest. The song is amazing and even with bad staging (which we don't even know if it's that bad, we'll have to wait to see how it looks in the cameras tonight) this certainly deserves to qualify.

The fact is that a lot of casual viewers focus on the fashion, and with 2 dresses that bad, they might not even hear the song. If it was purely about the song then this would sail through, but we need to be realistic about how people vote.

Yes, I realize that some people will be speaking "WTF is that girl wearing?" during the 3 minutes and as such won't pay attention to the song. But I believe most people will be focused enough to hear the entry. And I just think that this song is too strong to flop, even if the staging is bad.
