So we're either a Eurovision fan or a troll...and you hate Eurovision fans...I wonder what the next logical step is

There isn't any logic about this person

Anyway, about the ultra-dramatic cape, i think it's a new thing to add the needed drama in the performance since you can't do much effects with this year's layered stage, also it will be a different way to do it and it will make the entry stay in people's minds.

I don't know what to think about the rehearsal video. For start, the first dress is pretty confusing & non practical.Nina won't be able to move her hands in it, it looks huge & too complicated but Lighthouse is a nice, simple song.I'm still waiting for that shining white dress and I hope it will fix the overall impression but the stage & the graphics could've been used much more.Won't even try to analyze the backing vocalists, that is just pathetic.

It's a puzzle for me how it's possible that such a good song, which became a favorite the moment it was released, is going "down".Nina's voice will probably be the element that will save the song even though I'm still mad at HRT.They just know how to ruin a big vocalist with a strong entry.

Things might not be over yet, we've seen only a few seconds of the FIRST rehearsal but there is no reason to be overwhelmed.

body in Bulgaria, heart in Greece (^_^)
Instruments used in the song aren't even Balkan. xwave
But I wouldn't know since I don't even live in the Balkans.

Well, I live in the Balkans and most of the instruments she is using are Balkan or used in Balkan music. She sounds like a Balkan singer too.
The song isn't "Lane moje" but it's still Balkan. "Lighthouse" has the music of a typical Croatian song. That being said, I don't see the connection between the Balkan sounds and the Japanese kimono. Doesn't feel right to me.

mmm I'm afraid now. That tree thing is ridiculous and doesn't fit the song. I hope I won't be disappointed with the full performance because this is my number one.

Tell me why do you say that this song isn't a Balkan ballad.

Because her production team used instruments from all around the world in two of her singles. Besides Lighthouse has more of a Northern Germanic or Western Slavic sound.

If this was a typical Croatian song, that would have beeen soo great. :D But sadly, it isn't. I am from Croatia and I can confirm that. Typical Croatian songs....meh, I don't like them. This is in no way a typical Croatian song, Nina is experimenting with a style that is really new for a Croatian artist.

Please don´t take it as a hate, but... Nina looks like a gigantic moth in that kimono. I don´t like it.

But not even my mottephobia can prevent me from supporting Nina with my votes, since she still sings like an angel. xlove
