Well, this happened to Armenia:

The EBU resolution says that Yerevan should pay the full fee for participation in the contest. In addition, as a penalty, Armenia has to pay an additional fine equal to 50 percent of that amount. It is also noted that the Public Television of Armenia will have to show the finals of the international song contest live, RIA Novosti reported.

If the country fails to meet the EBU decision, it will be excluded from participating in the Eurovision contest in 2013. EBU stressed that the decision on the penalty was issued in accordance with the rules of the contest and reasons why Armenia refused to participate in the contest were not included.

Considering all that situation in 2012, many artists that even wanted to go (if I remember well) were under big pressures and all that situation wasn't natural and simply compacted with zillion of pressures. HRT really has only clear situation to decide.

Btw [MENTION=7006]Hele.[/MENTION], I've found this now. They've confirmed to Telegram that they're going:

“U ovom trenutku možemo potvrditi da je Hrvatska radiotelevizija osigurala mogućnost sudjelovanja hrvatskog predstavnika na 61. Eurosongu u Stockholmu 2016. godine”, stoji u njihovom kratkom odgovoru.
Dodali su kako će o svim daljnjim novostima pravodobno obavijestiti javnost. Stoga se još uvijek ne zna kako će se birati predstavnik koji će nas predstavljati u Stockholmu, dakle, hoćemo li opet imati Doru ili će HRT birati predstavnike, a već se tijekom listopada nagađalo da, ako dođe do toga, postoji velika mogućnost da predstavnica bude Nina Kraljić, pobjednica prve sezone HTV-ovog The Voicea.

Yup, that's that statement from net.hr (Telegram is connected with them) which sounds "sure". But it remains ambiguous (as in index.hr's one)..."secured possibility". Maybe journalist interpreted it so surely but HRT doesn't think so... I really hope for best.

If I hate anything, I hate anticipation.

EDIT: Esctoday also wrote that HRT confirmed to them participation.

Like I said, don't trust Jutarnji, they aren't reliable. Actually, I can't remember the time when they were.

Apparently Nina already has ready song in English...but that doesn't mean she will not sing at Croatian at esc.

Hmmm, Lidija Bacic? This lady would be great with great song (she used to sing before quality songs). Considering her current music style - I say no. Considering her potential as artist and some quality song - I say yes. Do you know that her song even didn't pass Croatian preselection in 2007 or 2008. She had prepared even English version of the song and lyrics were written by Lina Eriksson (who this year wrote lyrics for Möt Mig i Gamla Stan at Melodifest for example)

Here is that song...I really love it and miss such Lidija.

If we speak about nowdays Lidija, only kind of acceptable would be something like Daj da nocas poludimo eventually.

I've found out a week ago, but I couldn't say anything until someone made it official. Croatian HOD Aco Kostadinov has quit his job on HRT and he's moving to Belgium.
