Re: Proof that Azerbaijan cheats in Eurovision voting

Do you really think the Azeri’s bribed Malta? I mean, let’s look at some results from my country (Netherlands):
2004 > 12 points to Turkey
2005 > 12 points to Turkey
2006 > 12 points to Turkey, 10 to Armenia
2007 > 12 points to Turkey, 10 to Armenia
2008 > 12 points to Armenia, 10 to Turkey
2009 > (reintroduction juries) > 8 points to Turkey, 5 to Armenia
2010 > 12 points to Armenia, 8 to Turkey
2011 > Turkey and Armenia not in final(12 points to Denmark, 10 to Sweden)
2012 > 8 points to Turkey, Armenia not in final
2013 (new voting system) > no points to Armenia, Turkey not in final
So, were we bribed as well then for all those years prior to 2013? I don’t think so, just a large Turkish and Armenian community whose members practically turned out to be the only ones in the country watching the final, because Netherlands was not in it. Something similar must be going on in Malta. Did they qualify for the final in the years mentions (except for this year off course)?

ESMA BLAMES RESULTS ON ‘GAY LOBBY’

Do you think it is OK for a two-times Nobel Peace Prize nominated woman to spread homophobia? Sure it is not! Esma, who represent FYR Macedonia with Lozano this year is blaiming gay lobby and it’s influence in voting. If it wasn’t represented they would go to the final. She even says that her partner from song, Lozano, could not leave hotel, as number of men were touching and pinching his behind.

It seems that Esma doesn’t know that their first song, “Imperija”, was hugely supported by the same gay fans who allegedly were abusing Lozano.

But that's because you have alot of Turkish and Armenian diaspora living in your country, Malta doesn't have a large Azeri (or Turkish) community... you can't compare it

And yeah, one must be lying to themselves if they think all those Maltese 12's to Azerbaijan are completely natural... xshrug

I have no idea actually, if there are any immigrant groups in Malta and what their origin is. I just find it hard to believe that the Maltese could be bribed by Azeri. Maybe they are just big fans of slick stage acts? I mean, I have to admit their act was the most interesting to watch this year.

one of the largest Azerbaijani corporations has its global headquarters located in Malta and they have few hundreds of Azeri employees there with their families. Couldn't they spam vote? :)

Oh, I guess you solved the problem now and the source for the vote manipulation in Malta comes from that corporation

According to wiki though, the largest diaspora groups in Malta are Britons, Italians and French... xshrug

So what do you think happened then? A bribed jury?

I have NO clue... some sources wrote something about the local telephone company... xshrug

But I think something is definitely going on... xshrug

Maybe the big Azeri company blackmailed the telephone company: demanding they would falsify the results, or else they would take their business elsewhere :)

well, the owner of the corporation (Mubariz Mansimov) is the richest person in Azerbaijan and is #7 on the Turkish Forbes list, so I guess he could buy the entire telephone company if he wanted to :D

I was never one for over-the-top gimmicks, that's why I loved Lena in 2010, Loreen last year and Takasa this year (even though they didn't qualify for the final) because their staging was simple and the song did all the talking

i think in jury should be no less then 100 members, at all less corruption (would be harder to buy jury)
I don't think the broadcasters would like to pay for more people!

I just realised something! :dk: is buying votes from :is:. This two countries are far away from each other and still :is: awards 10 and 12 every year to :dk:

Why can't people just understand that :mt: is a small country with no neighbours and people are trying to establish relationship with other countries in order to get points. So, probably, maltese people voted for :az: every year so that :az: people would finally realise that and vote for :mt: back :D

Actually Iceland gave 5 points to Iceland last year...so your joke (If that was a joke) doesn't work.

It's not hard to undestand that the small Malta maybe tries to establish a relation with other countries in order to get points, but It seems that for some people is hard to understand that is not ethically correct to do that, even If some other countries do it as well.

It was a joke as I just looked in the stats and I see that :is: gave the most points to :dk:.

So, if I would've sent you a pm on this forum and told you that I will vote for Krista if you vote for Cezar and you would've agreed, than that is called cheating?
