The UK, Austria, Germany, Sweden and Switzerland all used televoting that year. The UK did indeed give 6 points to Iceland.

As for the digging at the start of the video, if you pay attention you'll see that they're digging (a grave?) on the spot where (ex-) Yugoslavia was on the map of Europe; ominous, since the bloodshed started just a couple of months after the contest, in June.

And as for Bebi, she gets a lot of deserved ridicule for the performance in Rome, but she's actually a very very good singer. She is a freak though.
