Okay this grew like crazy on me when I heard it a couple of times right after each other
He'll deliver live so staging will make it or break it

I love this now
I think this will do a Blanche

THIS > Blanche...

Actually I have to hear him live..but already based on composition and audio this is by far superior..

She was really weak live... and I didn't like composition that much..
I only liked lyrics.

But these lyrics are great too.. :)

Tumblr, mostly.
Really? I think the lyrics are by far the worst part of Wake Up lol (the chorus is fine you crybabies). Just a lot of vague, barely English rambling about lies.

This song is growing on me, but won't make it onto the top of my list. It's hard to be there after Portugal, Iceland and Georgia. :D

Nothing extraordinary, Blanche's song beats this by a landslide (unlike it was mentioned here. In my opinion "City Lights" remains one of the best and fabulous songs from 2017). But it's ok-ish, I guess. :)

I love the song, it's pretty good. At the same time, something is missing to make it even better. Still, it's certainly one of the better songs this year and I can see it ending in top 10 in the final :D

The verses are honestly so good I don't care about the lackluster flop of a chorus. xshifty But yeah no, it is a bit disappointing, it could've been an incredible song, but I've gotten used to the chorus and kinda dig it now. Still it really is hilarious how emotionless and subdued it is when you consider what the lyrics are saying. I'm sure it'll do well, maybe not Blanche-level, but this has its appeal for a casual viewer, esp. amidst the other songs we have so far.

I wanted Belgium to win it all last year, but this isn't all that. The verses are semi-interesting, but the chorus is completely lifeless. A frustrating listen. 4 pts

First impression - it isn't trashy like some overrated 'bop' songs will be, and it seems pleasant enough. The chorus is simple but it might work with the groove of the song, so it's ok. It's about the feel of the song like the Austrian song in a way, neither have great choruses but the overall package might work. Some songs like the Portuguese one that some rave about don't have much of a melody at all and yet few seem to complain about that.

Melodramatic vocals and overproduced choruses can get annoying, so I don't think it's bad thing.

My crush of the year. He is just so frank and outgoing in the interviews. And he has a killer of a song.

I am secretly rooting for this song to be honest. I know it's not going to win the contest, but I just hope this song will bring Belgium back into the finals.
And I want the song to do well. It is currently sitting in my top 2 with Italy (switching places depending on my mood).

I just hope the staging will be great to elevate the song.
