So Kate Ryan uh? I'm a bit sceptical, because I really don't see her coming up with something that'll go through to the final. I mean, she's great at remixing Mylène Farmer's and France Gall's songs, but her own original songs are of a somewhat lower quality. (I didn't like "Je t'adore", though it should've made it to the final).

Why not. I forgot to say I thought her stage presence in Athens was a bit sub-par. She looked tense, not sure about the - simple - routine, and overall not very communicative. Her voice is nothing to write home about either...

But still, it would be in the style of "Je t'adore", cause it's Kate Ryan's style. And I agree, the remixes are good, but her own songs are a bit :?.
@Yumarus: Her performance wasn't so good, but I blame the crew too, they made a mess of her performance, for example they didn't show the famous "Kniezwengel".

Yes, they did, €60.000 to be precise. It was critised a lot as a "waste of money" and yep it was a waste of money!
I don't know, probably an internal selection for budget reasons.

IMO, Belgium is one of those countries that's better skipping the NF process entirely (honestly, who cares about NFs in Belgium?).

The man who was also in the team for chosing the entry in 2010 said they will give a minimal input to the new rule who says that you got to do a public selection ; so they're gonna select an artist and let chose us between two songs probably.
On a Belgium fansite a lot of people want Kato as our participant ; She can sing & she's cute but at eurovision you also need to move a bit and it's not her type of thing. Also she said she rather make an album first then go to Eurovision. She became second in Belgian version of Idols
Somebody else tipped is Kevin ; the winner of idols ; but this is also unlikely
And as every year ; Natalia is tipped again ; but this year it could be possible because her previous two songs flopped in the Flemmish charts
Biggest possibility imo is Kate Ryan tho ; Could be another big suprise as Tom Dice was at the beginning also
