This song is really an improvement, compared to the previous one. But let's wait until this is actually the final entry, as Belarus can still change it several times before we get to Baku. And that is sad and somewhat funny at the same time. ;)

But as for the English pronunciation, this is again a candidate for the "Alexandra Award", because I think it is horrific and it seems the singer has no clue what he is actually singing. And I don't try to be mean, because I realize that not everybody in Europe has equal command of the English language, and that is part of Eurovision's charm. But this is pretty bad imo.

Silly American. Everyone knows he's singing in the British language

Oh please, nobody says trousers...say pants.
And who uses a lift? It's called an elevator. Get it right, people!!!

Seriously though, the worst was 2004. If you haven't listened to it yet I encourage you to check it out on YT. I didn't even know until AFTER the contest that they were singing in English!

Hmmm weird, i watch lots of american tv shows like "The big bang theory", "Two and a half men", "House M.D." etc. in original, and also i have listened to bunch of our singers struggling to sing in English which made my ears rot and bleed, Litesound is nothing like them...neither they sound like Gregory House or Sheldon but i still can listen to them without covering my ears screaming "don't touch my brain, you freaken aliens!" :D

3. I still don't get why Belaurs chooses to sing in English. I can't understand a word they're saying, may as well stick to their language :D

Good luck to Belarus!

haha ITA. and i know Russian, Belarussian and English... and i'm veru used to those accents... yet i still can't understand half of what they are singing. i think it's because they for some reason think that if they open their mouths too wide and combine 5 words into one it's somehow cool and shows off how good their english is lol
i'd rather they had very thick accent, then tried to be cool. thick russian accent is very articulate, you at least understand the words, even if the sounds are butchered lol

In terms of English pronunciation, they are possibly the best Belarus has ever sent!

lol with all due respect it' doesn't say much... usually i understand about 20% of what singers from Belarus (and Russia, and Ukraine, and so on...) are singing... now i understand about 50%.
improvement? hell yes!
good English? not by any objective measures

It's really ridiculous, i feel for the poor girl even if her singing & song were obviously worst than the winning song.

I mean i'm all for the broadcaster to choose the song (or even the president i don't really care )the way they want; but if they didn't like the jury or people's choice they should change it before telling the result. It's just too cruel for that girl

Not bad. Much better than the other song. 6 points, and possible grower.

Btw, I was lazy to read the previews pages. What happened and they replaced the song?
in the nutshell:
Alyona was announced the winner
Litesound started bitchin'
Judges said "we don't know, we voted for Litesound, it must have been televoting that put her on top. go away!"
Litesound started bitchin' even more.
Investigation showed that public voting results have been tampered with.
President said:" for the love of... apologize to the girl and let those whining boys go to Baku."

Alyona bought the victory, Litesound was the real winner. So they decided to send Litesound.
Typical Belarus :p
