Guys, let me clarify this for you - Lanskaya DID NOT ACTUALLY WIN at Eurofest. Her victory was bought by her producer and everyone in Belarus and few more countries knew about it right from the start, her victory was rumoured since summer 2011. After she's won media was stormed by mad viewers who felt deceived, they did not choose Lanskaya! 4 of 5 jury members gave her 5th place. President of Belarus formed a special urgent comission to review the results and today they've reached the desicion - the voting was FAKE. So the real winner is going to Baku now, good job guys. I'm glad you didn't just give up. Love your song :)

P.S: Hi everyone, awesome forum you got here, may i join?

And what is the purpose of national finals?

Even now song is zillion times better that previous one, I despise malfeasance like this, so I don't care for Belarus this year.

Oh we choose the song but reactions are desperate, so we'll change the song and singer. This is childish and ridiculous

Are we talking about corruption here? That is f*cked up.

I believe you, but I am still waiting for EUROVISION's explanation. This needs to be clarified as soon as possible. Otherwise, I won't support Belarus this year.

Miguel - yes, that's right.
And even more : during Eurofest televote many users from Belarus said that when they called the number to vote for Litesound the voice told them "this number is out of service" but when they tried to call for Lanskaya their vote went through like a hot knife through butter :) AND after jury and televotes were done (jury gave the 1st place to Litesound and they officially confirmed that) they opened an envelope with results that said "Lanskaya". So all in all televoting didn't show what viewers really thought, we all know they chose Litesound, jury did too which was confirmed. Justice prevailed ;)

Thanks for all the details. That story is now being confirmed.

I can't understand a thing in Belarusian, but this article from Minsk-based news website Tut.By talks about something like "fraudulent voting"!!!

WTF? Eurovision should give some kind of explanation about this already. If Alena Lanskaya won Belarus National Final, she should represent that country. Period. This is outrageous! (A-O)
the claim is that she didn't, that it was fabricated to show that she won when in reality Litesound did...

i still don't think it'll qualify.
my personal likes (or in this case dislikes) aside, the semi is very Balkan and Belarus is going in the beginning, so i doubt this would qualify.
i'm used to much better rock music than this amateurish parody (in fact if it was a parody/trash it would actually have been better. those guys seriously think they are the #$!t...) but it is better than what Alyona had.
i was hoping that she would change the song.
but imo the result for belarus doesn't change... still won't qualify.

You're welcome. Just one correction: that's russian, not belarussian, media rarely uses belarussian.
This article is about the press conference with Litesound which took place today shortly after the breaking news about voting results, i've watched it all so to be short - first media asked Litesound how they felt blah blah, then people at the head of Eurofest were bombed and attacked by questions why? when? how? how did they let that happen? we have that every year, don't u think it's enough? etc., there were s many words said back but the essence of those is "that's not our fault, we didn't know about anything! See, we even printed 5 diplomas for each finalist because we didn't know who was going to win" :D Lame excuses and lame attempt to explain themselves, which their failed to do, if you ask me.
Anyways, don't be so harsh on Belarus, Eurovision is all about songs afterall, guys from the band have nothing to do with the fact someone's bought Alyona's first place neither whole country does.

Thanks! :)
And yes, no way there was even a 15% chance of that happening.

LOL Belarus. How are we expected to believe their judges don't receive bribes at the actual Contest with that kind of crap? Let alone rigging the televote.

Apparently, everything was ok with the judges in Belarus, at least this year, they openly confirmed that they chose Litesound as a winner.
If they were bribed would they do that? I don't think so.
This was more about rigging the televote because according to the rules viewers votes always count over judges votes, if for instance viewers chose LiteSound and judges (bribed ones of course) chose Lanskaya, Litesound would be the winner anyways.
But i wouldn't be that worried about the actual contest, it's way harder to rig the televotes and bribe judges in 43 countries :D
