Offcourse so much better in Belarussian!

I really can't tell the difference between Belarussian and Russian hearing it like this, but would be cool to have this version in ESC instead.

In Belarussian is a bit better. But her voice is ill-favoured xstars  The singer is a total failure.

If you don't hear [g] sound thats Belarusian, if you hear it than its Russian.

Well I was looking for something like that. It's the same in Ukrainian but Ukrainian is way more different, in that case I can hear it without a problem, Belarussian seems very similar to Russian though.

The one word that stuck out to me was how she's singing "Tsabye" which sound like a complete different pronouncement of "Tebya/Tebe" than the other Slavic languages (Ciebie in Polish). The alphabet is pretty different from Russian Cyrillic though.

The Belarusian alphabet doesn't really differ much from the Russian one. It has the і in place of the и and ў to represent the w sound, for which Ukrainian uses в. Outside Belarus you might also see the Ukrainian ґ for the few hard g sounds. Otherwise no real difference. Belarusian is very similar to Ukrainian, though, not Russian - in terms of vocabulary and grammar.

It differs enough for me to instantly see the graphical differences of the alphabet atleast. Obviously it's not a whole new alphabet, but it's still characteristic I'd say. If I'd see a text in Belarussian in the future I know directly it's Belarussian and not Russian or Ukrainian.

You say Belarussian is closer to Ukrainian than Russian? Just looking at the alphabet for sure, but it really doesn't sound like that. Anyways I'm no expert, I'm just going by the sound of it.

Anastasiya in interview :)

I actually hope they decide to do the Belarussian version on stage in Dusseldorf instead. Belarussian version is currently in my top. 10 actually! Since the song has some ethnic elements and is meant to be a patriotic song, I think Belarussian fits the concept better and it sounds better aswell imo.

The Russian version is actually better

But the song is still terrible, it doesn't change that.

I like the russian version too, but the english version is the english version It`s so funny and the fact that it`s in english makes it so funny and great in the same way. If it`s in russian only russian people will understand it. And from what I see the song is made for people who don`t know Belarus well and the only thing they know about Belarus is Lukashenko ;)

I can't believe you find Belarusian and Russian the same in terms of sounds. Well, I do kinda speak Russian to a certain extenct and my native language is Bulgarian, so that probably helps a lot... What I can say is that Ukrainian, Belarusian and Russian are equally different from one another. They definitely can't be mistaken with each other, judging by the writing system, that's for sure. Anyway, I think the Belarusian version is the best in this case and I can't decide between the Russian and English ones for 2nd. ;)

On writing system they can`t be mistaken, but the sounding? That`s completelly different story. But hey, some people can`t reconize bulgarian and russian when they hear them, so I am kinda used of it (^.^)
