All the countries in the Ex-Yu are "extremely nationalist". Each side was at fault in that war, and you can blame most sides for the start of the war if you twist the story enough.

It's pretty clear who was the agressor and who started the war. End of the story!

What I want to say is, that many people have critizised the Belarus-song because they want to critizise the political situation in this country.
But if they start to do this, they should do the same with many other countries! This would lead to endless discussions.And the ESC is not the right moment for this.
In my opininion the song from Belarussia is (was) a very free and positive song .

I will end the political talk here but I just want to say that it is not right to bring up this discussion when a lot of people are still affected by the war!! There are nationalists in all Ex-Yu countries that contributed to the war in there own way and it's not right to say 'Serbia started the war' when you're uninformed. True that they were the aggressors initially but they were under a ruling which forced them to believe it was right...and ones who didn't, didnt get much say.now that isn't right..but nothing in the war was..people are trying to move past it and it's so wrong to mention this here when there are such nice Serbian people on this forum (and Croats and bosnians) who all get along! makes me think you are just trying to start a debate...in the BELARUSSIAN forum?!?

Have a look in other ESC-forums: many people started a political debate about Belorussia! Just because of some words in the lyrics.
But it´s not correct to judge the song and the country at the same time.

By the way, it would be interesting to create a forum where people of the ESC-countries can tell their opinions about the other nations, and can give points...This would be another kind of European Contest...
