Fade to black is quite hard to sing (tried it), harder than what you would expect if you just listen superficially to the song. Kudos to Nadir. Still hoping he'll made it.

This is one of the most obvious Arcade-ripp offs I‘ve heard ever since. That doesn‘t mean of course that it‘s a bad song. It‘s just not very original. But I understand people who like it. If you love a certain type of cake you try all the variants of it and you may even enjoy some of them more than the original. But as I wasn‘t too fond of Arcade in the first place I am not very much into this either. Also I‘m sort of getting tired of this kind of song. But the guy is really cute so my :4: points go entirely to him. xrose

The typ of music is a bit similar, yes, also the music vid - but Fade to black is definitely superior to Arcade and more complex than Arcade and harder to sing than Arcade.
Arcade was a great song and by the time it was released it was in my top 2 (and I‘m fine with it winning) but it faded quite quickly after the ESC while songs like Fade to black will always be something I will listen to years later.

Azerbaijan always do this huge promotion for their song and the song 9 times out of 10 is extremely underwhelming, and I include 2022 with that.

I won't hate too much because their OGAE just gave the UK 12 points!

If there is any justice in this world, this goes jury top 3. His voice is one of the best this year, also the composition is very interesting and the alternating changes sound very sophisticated. Actually this is something juries must support but nowadays they just vote according to their own taste…
