Stay
The story barely started
Can't you
Stay
Do you really want no part of this
Oh so sweet
Reverie
You back off slowly through the door
You always go and blame the weather
The weather

It hurts so fast
When love goes bad
Until at last
We fade to black

And I'm numb, numb
Numb, numb

Wait
I need some time to fix this can't you wait ?
We can't afford to miss this
You back off slowly through the door
You always go and blame the weather
The weather

It hurts so fast
When love goes bad
Until at last
We fade to black

And I'm numb, numb
Numb, numb

We're living in a memory
The present is the price I pay
Fade to black
Fade to black

It hurts so fast
When love goes bad
Until at last
We fade to black

It's a sign this forum is really dying that nobody's talking about this AMAZING staging! Top 5 is almost sure now, and winning is absolutely possible!
It got talked about in the rehearsal thread, though.

Personally, I think that Nadir´s vocals are on point but based on the very short 2nd rehearsal clip, I can´t tell if I like or dislike the staging yet. I think that one has to see the whole performance because it´s another artsy-fartsy/story-telling performance.

I think the staging looks like it has a lot of potential, but I am not a fan of the camera angles, at least in the snippet.

Pleased with this from the rehearsal clip, but I didn't understand the lack of positivity for this entry to begin with...

To be honest, I am not a big fan of our entry this year, however, Nadir is adorable and his vocals are always on point. Judging by the second rehearsal video, our stage is much better than my expectations. I was doubting about our qualification before rehearsals. Now I changed my mine. If there is justice, he should qualify 🤞🏼💜

I love the entry, the song, the singer but unfortunately not the staging. :-/
I really hope he will qualify but with this performance I am not so sure anymore. :(

I will keep my fingers crossed for Azerbaijan qualifying as well (it´s in my lower Top 10 of semi 2) but we need to take into account that Australia will be loved by the juries and Poland will probably get more televoting points than "Fade to Black" and all three songs seem to attract the same "target audience" (at least, that´s what some fans assume).

We need to watch the full performances to have a final verdict. For now all three or at least 2 out of the three songs might go to the final. Before the rehearsals I was almost certain about NQ for Azerbaijan. Now I do not think that way anymore.

I will vote for him (luckily I am able to vote in semi 2) but I don’t think Germany will give any points to him. I'm crossing my fingers he will qualify! It is beyond me why so few people realize the quality of this song. I‘m not talking about Nadir as a great singer (which he is without doubt) but of the composition of the song. It’s quite an usual song for Eurovision, not easy to grab (maybe that puts people off). It’s contemporary and classical at the same time, with interesting changes in key and pace and it has an indie yet modern melancholic mood which turns into almost a pop beat later. Very underrated imho.

To be honest, I think some people are just "upset" because it took Azerbaijan so long to release their entry and then on first listen, it is underwhelming and it is not as instant like the other ballads. I am sure once we see the live performance, people will get the entry and hopefully will vote for it.

Let's not forget, ESC community does not form the majority of the televotes and surely we are not a representative of the juries. So let's hope things will end up well for Nadir and his song.
