There were some problems with the camera angles (though there was one striking shot from above), the trapeze artist not doing enough and how she looked. The vocal however was great and the song was great, I don't care about not understanding most of the words.

Dilara did less than perfect, but I don't blame her. It's a beautiful ballad, but very demanding. This and the bad position killed it. Maybe a little setback is good for Azerbaijan not to get too cocky. Next year they will be back with a vengeance. Go for it!

I think LadyKiller was banned per own request. She can come back when she wants.

Oh PashonFrut, my dearest friend! xkiss

We do share some songs, we don't conflict completely!

You are one of few bright sides of this pace, without you and very few other highlights I wouldn't "survive" here, be sure of that..

xheart

This place is snake's nest like all other ESC fans' sites. :D

Bye PashonFrut xwave xwave xwave

Well, my favourite song... I admit her performance wasn't the best, but I liked and 23th place is a poor result, IMO.

Dilara will be in my heart forever. xrose

Nice warm performance with character, compare it to the cold Swedish performance. The accent ended up turning it into an Azerbaijani song and considering the complaints about local styles disappearing from the contest that surely isn't a bad thing.

This was the only :az: that I didn't like, and it just sent me sleeping every time i heard it, but I am surprised by such a low result. I think she deserved a bit better one, but anyway, next year I hope for something much better. And also, I would love to see a song sung in a native language and with traditional instruments, for a change :D

Me too! Ethno-pop from Azerbaycan would be great!

^^ Definetly. I would love to see :az: switching to their own traditional stuff and let these MTV-wannabe clones rest at bay.

Today I thought, that this would be better in azerbaijani language. Maybe, that would be awesome. English made this nice song so boring.

Yes I think that after the succesfull formula flopped, they will try etho-pop but it will be in English for now... maybe the following years they will send Azerbaijani song but they had tried once with english and it was succesful

Is it just me or do people only demand ethno stuff from Eastern countries? I never hear people say "That Sweden better send an ethno song next time". Nobody seems to complain when other Western countries send songs without much national favor. Does Rise Like a Phoenix feel like an "Austrian" song (whatever that means)? But for some reason, Eastern ones have to send ethno in their native language. And if they don't, it's usually held against them.

It's weird to say, but I feel very very sorry for that song. The song is so touching and great, but Dilara wasn't good. The whole staging of her was awful. Voice-Background-Trapeze-facial expressions, she seemed very lost on that stage and of course Draw 3 isn't that good. Well, Place 22 is not fair, but only for the song.
