re: AZERBAIJAN 2014 - Dilara Kazimova
well that should do it for now
well that should do it for now
every Armenian on this board is an expert on Azerbaijan
Sari Gelin is not an Azerbaijani song. It belongs to Armenians, Turks, Persians and its variant exists in Azerbaijani, too. Stop presenting it as your own when others have it as well.
I think it's brilliant they pay Swedes to write and produce their contributions. Keep doing it!
Bro the word "Sari gelin" - "Yellow Bride" it self is in Azerbaijani language. how come? Please give me break.
Yes, but the equivalent exists in other languages as well. You have your version, Turks have their version, Armenians have theirs and Persians have theirs. To say and promote this song as exclusively Azeri is completely inaccurate when all four of those peoples have this song with different words.
FYI, Turkish version is nearly identical to Azeri version. The lyrics are the same
In Turkey, this song is also known as Erzurum carsi pazar (Erzurum turkusu) and is widely popular in Eastern regions like Erzurum, Igdir and Kars. And do you know why this song is so popular there? Well, because those are areas with a very large Azeri population, that's why. Moreover, the Erzurum dialect (as well as Igdir and Kars dialects) of the Turkish is heavily influenced by the Azerbaijani language.
but, of course, according to you this is not an azeri song. this is an armenian song.
A while ago I talked to one armenian about this song and when I asked him to tell me what this song was all about it. He said that Sari Gelin in Armenian meant... mountain lion!

Now you are saying "you have your version"; however before you said "it is not belongs to Azerbaijan". This song popular in our language, probably the is couple versions. I just wanted to mention out the word belong. And yes you missed Azerbaijan.
I love his song called 'Karusel'^^ it is better now.
