"Fun" fact: abor & tynna (who are part of the german preselection) were approached by austria last year aswell but declined back then.

This is so funny! :D A friend of mine is friends with Tynna. We were even eating pieroggis last May on the day of the Grand Final. Maybe I was the reason she did not have time last year? :D

I’m wondering if this song has been part of the internal selection this year because it’s exactly 3 min long. But I don’t think that he wouldn’t be among the final shortlist of the internal selection if he had competed? Hm…

I mean I don’t know at all about his live performance skills but I see some potential in his songs. Maybe the songs are not a 100 % ready for Eurovision yet but you could definitely build up on his previous efforts… maybe with additional help…

For those of you who don’t know, he has been part of the internal selection in 3024, with his song „Amy Ivy“, achieving „quite a good position“.

I personally would have preferred this to we will rave, I'm aware that's an unpopular opinion

Opps i thought you meant for the 2024 contest
Amy Ivy was his submission for the 2024 contest and I speculated about the other song having been part of the internal selection for 2025.

Personally I also really like Another You and it would have been a decent entry in my opinion (with a little additional polishing…)

From what I've heard from him this sounds like it could be competing for my last place. His voice is very annoying but we wait t see the final product. It sounds like :at: JJ is trying to replicate what :ch: Nemo did according to the description given.

the "problem" with him is that he's not an experienced performer yet - and that still shows. he has some great songs but he does not really know how to present them / him live.

it's not about trying to replicate anything at all (seriously, i don't think any delegation tries to intentionally "copy" anything of the previous winner - at least austria definitely did not), it's more accepting the risk of similarities because its a good song / the best in the selection. similarities in style (as mentioned before) were something that was rather held against it but outweighed by the good.
