Sources say the song is gonna be written by Teya.Well.. it's been wonderful three years with Lumix & Pia, Teya & Salena and Kaleen...
But now it's time for me to step back as a full time Austria supporter

Why do countries occasionally try to make opera at Eurovision a thing again? I mean, I guess someone heard Nemo's notes on the spinning disc last year and went "I got a brilliant idea" but.... No....
This is very different for Austria at Eurovision!

Opera has been a thing at Eurovision every once in a while. There have been tremendous examples regardless whether they have won or not. I don’t think all broadcasters participate every year with a specific goal of achieving a victory.
i actually think the song could work with juries AND televoting. JJ is a great singer and he absolutely kills the high notes in this. the song is passionate but has a modern twist aswell and i think it could do really well
and countries "did not try to make opera a eurovision thing" - this song was submitted in the same way as any others, it turned out to be the most exciting / most promising in the selection. The approach in the beginning is never to send a specific style but to be open for submissions of any genre - and this turned out to be the one this year

By really well, you mean winner material ? or more like Top 10 ? People are comparing with Nemo already. What's your point of opinion about that please ? Do you think The Code is stronger than the song we will discover ?

It worked for Australia in 2019 and Estonia in 2018, keep an open mind and wait for the song
well we only know 3 songs of the competition so far, so thats hard to say, i think it's definitely top10 material, i doubt its a winner (but i'm always a bit negative there, i did not even think conchita could win. i personally haven't heard a lot in this years preselections that i like more though. but that's just my subjective opinion).
the similarities to nemo are that it combines opera and electronic, but thats about it. When i first heard it i had a similar association tbh but its still far enough away, of course orf is aware of the comparisons (something that was held rather against the song than spoke for it) but even with those similarities the song got great feedback throughout the jury process. the song structure is very different to nemo and for the most part is cinematic opera. i'd say la forza meets shum. I dont think it would work anywhere outside of eurovision while nemo had more pop appeal. i hope this makes sense when the song is released

And now - someone who is capable if singing a high note is comparable to Nemo (who to my knolwedge is neither an countertenor nor even near opera in his professional life as a musician)???

Exactly. Just because Nemo won last year doesn't mean that JJ will sound like Nemo. But maybe (hopefully) people will think differently once the song is released.
P.s ORF can we not steal British talent show acts please, think of the poor BBC pre-2020
