i'm sorry but that [full opera] is not what it is, at least not the full songMy only wish is: go full opera. Not a fusion, not a mix of genres, not an experiment - just good old true opera.

We could offer you some austrian talent show acts in return, if you want…P.s ORF can we not steal British talent show acts please, think of the poor BBC pre-2020
Let’s not give the BBC any ideas! We could offer you some austrian talent show acts in return, if you want…
YesIs it true that Teya was involved in writing the song?
Geschrieben hat den Song Teya, vom Duo Teya & Salena, das Österreich 2023 beim ESC in Liverpool vertreten hat, und mit „Who the Hell is Edgar?“ den respektablen 15. Platz erreicht hat.
I thought Teya was involved?Do we already know the writers? - Hopefully, Austrian writers/producers will be involved - I don't wannt to see Joker, G:son or Kempe at all!
They'd probably be better live than Mae or Olly so I say pick one and send them over.We could offer you some austrian talent show acts in return, if you want…
Yes she is one of the writers (i think she wrote it with Johannes and a Producer from austria, none swedish TeamI thought Teya was involved?

And Its not cheese opera like Malena Ernman, no worries
I don't care what anyone says, for me "the most utterly horrendous piece of cheesy trash" applies toPop opera could be really amazing, e.g. qualifying and ending up in my Top 10 ("La Forza" 2018) or even winning the televoting (
2015)... it could also become the most utterly horrendous piece of cheesy trash like
2009, though.
I don't care what anyone says, for me "the most utterly horrendous piece of cheesy trash" applies to2015 as well.
As for this year's Austrian entry, who knows? Halo and WWR were well-loved by the fandom, though not my cup of tea. Edgar was out-of-this-world as a studio track! Basically, no one can accuseof phoning it in lately, so I'm certainly curious, to say the least.
Italy 2015 was cheese as well but I think it wasn't trashy at all and something more authentic - that "La Voix" song still haunts me in my dreams![]()
