Can we pleeeeeaaaase keep the Israel-topic outside this thread? Just this one? I'm so getting tired to read the same things in whatever thread I go.
Afterall it’s not my fault that Eurovision 2024 is confronted with that topic.

Not once during the Semi or final performance did I even notice the white strip light sun the backdrop were spelling out We Will Rave - nice touch!

I was so happy that this one got such high praise from my buddies at our watch party - they loved the energy, and in fact one of my gal pals said Kaleen won the awards for best choreo, hottest stage outfit and catchiest hook. High praise indeed!

How does the Austrian selection usually work?
Not really a fan of the Aut of Orda song you linked

Its an internal selection. the last two years up to 15 acts were chosen to perform in a live casting. a professional jury and some ogae fanclubs rate the songs. in the end the management of orf decides on the act. because of the leaks they might change something this year.

Are you hoping for a national contest?
Is Eurovision popular in Austria?

I am not hoping for a public nf because Austrians tend to make weird decisions.
Second question is difficult to answer. ESC is one of the most popular tv shows when it comes to the viewing figures at least. it is heavily featured in most of the media. but somehow Austrians seem to not really care who is representing the country. there have been some nf until 2016 but they had low viewing figures.

Austrians are not alone. I mostly don't understand Germans decisions either.
Therefore I wish we would try once again internally like Ben Dolic 2020.

They already announced internal selection again anyway I think. And that’s good, a :at: NF wouldn’t make any sense at all. Would bring no improvement to the selection process!

The point system is a bit rough sometimes. On average she'll place higher than 24th.
