I like the end of the snippet where it suddenly becomes a totally different song and then cuts off, that seems like a great song.

I’m still depressed tbh. Halo was such a bop and flopped.
Austria is always out there at ESC to serve something “different”. I don’t know if this means resilience or despair. I wish we had a safe formular to stick to for the peace of mind.
as for the snippet, I am not really into it. It gives me Bitsy Zdrava and Wolf Banana vibes, which makes it a promising entry for the GF. But whats there to get. Not much from the juries, and maybe a 120 televote.
ORF adjusted well to the new semifinal voting rules, however, I fear Eurovision is going down the rabbithole of freak and circus entries again. I don’t if Alf Poier or Marie N is to blame for the grotesque era that followed from 2004.

In the last couple of years, only a single entry per semi final would have been different and I don´t think that Cyprus 2022 would have added anything to a "freak and circus" competition.
The "silly/freak" entries have been quite unsuccessful back in the late 00´s as well (even when we had 100% televoting) = Dustin The Turkey, Casanova, Leto Svet flopped as well as the garbage and trashy pop songs like
or - none of them qualified."Wolves Of The Sea" qualified and even managed to get a decent to respectable placing in the final but such entries have already become less popular - I really think that Eurovision - as a competition - as evolved and even though there are disparities between jury points and the televoting in recent years, the qualifiers weren´t really that different + the televoting has been quite open for contemporary and quality entries as well.
+ We´ve the freak and silly entries in the 50/50 system as well (Montenegro 2012, San Marino 2012, Romania 2014, Germany 2021.... say hello)
