"Hey man" is everything I actively dislike in the contest: it's yet another X-factor debut single without an ounce of originality or care put into it. The beats, the melodic hook of the chorus, the arrangements: everything screams vanilla and I've-heard-that-millions-times-before.

And yet, I kind of enjoy it, especially the middle-8. I feel so ashamed, is this what we call a guilty pleasure? Please @BorisBubbles send help, my satanic soul wants to remain so: I didn't survive "Sound Of Silence", "Where I Am", "Made Of Stars" and the like to be exorcised by Kinder Bueno the preacher.

Actually... This is very good. One of the few songs this year I remember the melody after the first listening. It has a decent atmosphere. Much better than last year.

So second day after release, let's go for another review. Would I put this in my Spotify playlist? Definitely not. Is this a decent Eurovision song? I think so! It might end somewhere between Nathan Trent and Cesar Sampson and it's definitely a jury pleaser. And yes, this could actually stand out very much in semi 2 between all those uptempo songs.
