If you already heard the song you could give us extracts of the lyrics ;)

i can tell you that the word "limits" is not part of the chorus, it's featured in the 2nd line of the first verse of the song (demo) :)

Let's wait and hear what Rodney Hunter adds to the mix.

Datura: So do you think that the song has a chance to stand out at Eurovision (based on hearing the demo)? Is it memorable? Or what's the one thing that could make it successfull? Why do you think ORF chose that particular song? If I remember correctly from the interview, Paenda entered the selection with another song which was more for Eurovision but ORF decided to choose Limits..

hm when i heard it first i thought the beginning is quite captivating even though it's so slow, (and it was actually the first time in any of her songs where i noticed that she has a great voice, she sings pretty high)
the chorus is lovely but it could use a bit more melody. it doesn't really go anywhere special, but i'm sure they'll add some drama as it was just the first demo.
her other song was uptempo and quite edgy, but it didn't totally convince me either. So i guess they saw more potential in limits (i have to agree). and it was imo the best and most unique song in the "preselection" but it definitely needs work. i'm curious too how the final version will sound

As I said before, I noticed the "chorus weakness" in almost all of her songs. sometimes it is difficult to identify at first what the chorus actually is. An example was the song she sang yesterday in Treffpunkt Österreich "Cinema". But now I'm again more confident than last night.

i do, but i think it needs some build-up, it lacks a highlight and is really really slow. but maybe they have changed that in the finished version.
how bout u?

It all sounds like a huge risk this year. If there is a lack of chorus, then it wont click and we can say goodbye to the televotes. Juries would appreciate the song more, but they couldn't save Belgium 2018, which actually had a chorus (but was boring anyway).
Judging from her songs so far, I am not sold on Paenda's song writing skills. The lack of highlights is a common theme of all of her songs, and random notes and edgy stuff is even going on in my head.

I really hope we have a polished product in the end and Symphonix got a call to help out.

i wouldn't say that it LACKS a chorus, but it's just not that.. melodic. but a slight change to the melody could make a big difference (at least to me).
don't think it would do great at televote but it has the potential to get a great staging so who knows

Azerbaijan 2017 had a melodic, edgy song and a great staging. It was the best Azeri entry, however, it did quite poorly. So maybe Skeletons could be the benchmark for Limits.

Eurofans and viewers need to relate to the act in order to vote for an act. Paenda does not seem very charismatic and if her song is weird, then I don't expect a great result this year.

well skeletons sounds like a party anthem compared to limits :D
i wouldnt underestimate paenda though, shes great live and even though the song is pretty static i really think there can be done something great visually

It all sounds like a huge risk this year.

Not to forget it seems that Pænda finds herself in the same situation as Cesár last year. Without knowing the songs, semifinal 2 has the potential of being blood bath part two - Eurovision strikes back.

Ezio is in his pessimistic mood again like every year. but i think it does not make sense without knowing the song. i guess that the staging was included in the decision making like last year. we had uptempo songs in the lead last year, but often it is ballads too. i think we can trust Eberhard Forcher that he chose the best song.

ok so i've just been told that the version i've heard is not really a demo but a "rough mix" so there WON'T be a lot of changes. hm....
