Just for documentation.

Interview, not a masterpiece by ORF hosts xfacepalm

8:53 Male host: "We don't get anything from the Germans, don't expect anything."

So much cringe in that interview. I have my bachelor in Journalism and let me say... gosh, what a baaaaaad interview, the atmosphere was horrible, the questions bad, the hosts were so uninformed. Cringeeeey. But PAENDA seems ultra nice and lovely.

Eberhard Forcher:
If we knew how the perfect song contest song had to look like, we would at least finish 2nd place every year, because not everyone is eager to get the first place anyway.

The panel was not in agreement for the first time since Eberhard Forcher took over responsibility.

Artist and song "will polarize".

"Conflicts" with Pænda.

An "ESC upgrade" was recommended which was only successful in homeopathic doses.

Pænda seems to be "advice-resistant".

PÆNDAs songs too progressive for Ö3 playlist.

Hyäne Fischer's song was unanimously rejected by the panel.
ORF felt "pressured" by HF. Her video triggered unpleasant thoughts.

It was a relief for Kathrin Zechner (ORF Program Director) when Cesar finally finished in third place

Thanks für the link. the interview is very interesting. now i am even more excited to hear the song. its promising to hear that Marco Schreuder loved the song from the beginning, and that it will be a very unique song that will polarize.

The description of "Limitis" so far seems to fit well with "Sebi". Atmospheric, touching, slow, like a mantra, ....

I think a lot of people are sleeping on Austria this year. I have a strange feeling this could end up being a dark horse to win the whole thing...

^Well after all there's no blue-hair concurrence left (so far) since Italy and Slovenia decided to back out on it.

For me, it's rather the contrary... Slower than Sebi? Going nowhere? "Different"..... :?

I care more about the uniqueness now.

i think we can be confident that Austria will get a lot of attention again. after three feel-good-songs we will have something different, maybe something strange. that paenda seems to be advice-resistant like lindon translated it sounds good to me. she will do her own thing and she will be authentic and therefor get the attention she deserves.

I've never thought so much about the Austrian entry in advance. With Eberhard Forcher in charge I was always sure that he attaches importance to radio suitability. After all he is a radio guy of a station that plays mainly the top 40 hits. The fact that he and the overwhelming majority of the approximatley twenty-headed panel of music and Eurovision experts deliberately decide to pay less attention to Radio Friendliness and yet are extremely convinced of this act makes me extremely curious. It shall be different than the other songs of PÆNDA and yet unique, even hypnotizing like a mantra. It's a bit hard for me to imagine it.
