According to PÆNDA she doesn't know who else or how many artists were considered nor who else was in the expert jury of ORF besides Eberhard Forcher. This process is more mysterious than the conclave of the Vatican.

To be honest and not funny, electronic pop is not my building-site, as we say in Austria. When I listen to PÆNDA's songs, I think - with my reduced sense of music - that she is not a master composer of choruses. This will be a problem for the televote. Most viewers hear a song in the semifinal for the first time and I don't think the average crowd is fond of e-pop. But even a song that is not so great can be successful with an authentic staging at the ESC. It is not a radio show. The ESC is completely unpredictable as 2016 and 2017 has shown.

i don't think the song sounds like any of her other songs i've heard so far. but i agree that there is no catchy chorus.
and i don't know why the song was described as "e-pop", if it doesn't sound radically different than the demo it doesn't have a huge pop-appeal, or at least not for me

Having listened to her previously released songs, it would have been a big surprise if it had pop appeal.
When I look at ORF's financial situation this year (and it will not get better next year), then they do not want to win at all costs. So, I guess, they decided to experiment this year. If PÆNDA wins, it's okay, if not, you can still look proudly at the mirror and say it's too progressive for the ESC. After Cesár Sampson's third place last year, ORF audience numbers will be in order this year. This is the most important goal of ORF.

i do, but i think it needs some build-up, it lacks a highlight and is really really slow. but maybe they have changed that in the finished version.
how bout u?

If you already heard the song you could give us extracts of the lyrics ;)
