Seen objectively, the whole thing is not political. The text does not say much and seems to be the less brilliant sister of "Zu Asche, zu Staub". The fashion which is shown is more of the fifties, especially the style of the singer. It is only the projections of the observers that make this political.

According to her mangement, Hyäne Fischer was born in 1993, comes from Wiener Neustadt in Lower Austria is a trained tourism expert and started to make music as a child. She plays Chello and works as a volunteer in the animal welfare association.

Eberhard Forcher, the mastermind behind ORF's internal selection, reacts:

"The truth is, that the candidate for Tel Aviv is not found yet. The decision will be made in 2 to 3 weeks"

The song " Im Rausch der Zeit" is "a crude mixture of Marianne Rosenberg and the Pet Shop Boys".

The video to the song is "strange" and could be "misunderstood".

Guys as many of you asked me… I won’t be at Eurovision this year… But I’ll keep on fighting. But there will be new projects next year. I’ll keep you updated.

Back to Hyäne Fischer. The German Newspaper "Augsburger Allgemeine" reports that ORF has stated that "The application was received. We look at it exactly like all other applications".

If this report is true, then this act is the only one offically confirmed to be under consideration.

In my opinon, the chances that Hyäne Fischer will start for Austria are very low. Apart from the fact that the song is currently too long, there were also rumors that the voice of Hyäne Fischer does not belong to the actress in the video. In addition, the voices are partly electronically altered, which is not allowed in the competition.

But already in my very first posting to this topic on November 27th, I made very clear what it is. I quote myself "It's a publicity stunt".
The real promoters are the feuilleton sections of the big german newspapers. I see myself more as a summarizer of reports.
