:de: will arrange the Contest if :au: wins according to Björkman in our preview programme that was aired tonight on SVT

is that guaranteed or speculation though? I don't see why he would know or have anything to do with SBS choosing a broadcaster at all. Or anything to do with the German one as well.

I wonder if that was so smart to announce the country who will stage the Contest if :au: wins Before the actual competition?

No, I don't think so. And why Germany? :? I mean what is this rule?
And that means that they seriously consider an Australian victory, they put the cart before the horse imo.

He sat in the reference Group when they decided that :au: should participate so yes he tells the truth (they must have talked about the actual winning chances and what to do if that occurs when they gave green light, it would be strange otherwise)

So... I have this feeling that Australia will win the whole thing. Ever since I heard about them joining this year I've had that feeling. Why? Because:

Am I wrong? Am I right? What do you think?

100% Agree with you!

Ok.

I don't understand why it's Germany though? :? they already hosted recently, and there are plenty of countries who would kill to host it. I'm not saying the UK should do it, but really it should go to Second place. I don't know how I feel about this decision...

I feel most sorry for the :de: delegation and Ann-Sophie.

EBU has made a very hasty move without thinking again X-OI X-OI X-OI

That's ridiculous. The UK is the European country closest to Australia, after us Ireland and Italy. It should be one of these three who hosts if Australia wins.

The thing that pisses me off is why Björkman announced the hosting country BEFORE the competition? They should at least have kept it a secret until it´s confirmed that :au: have won.

It´s time to empty some chairs in EBU now, new fresh people in and old ones out

Are you still thinking this was a great idea from the beginning with :au: participating? I knew this was gonna happen

Why do you blame EBU for Bjorkman's statement ?

Pretty obvious, they agreed to even give :au: a participation without thinking about the different scenarios that could occur if they win and so on.

Björkmans statement is only the top on the iceberg

This has actually really annoyed me. T() I didn't like Australia's entry to begin with, now I hope even more that it doesn't win.

Same here, I guess all germans around Europe will vote like crazy for :au: now.

And the person and delegation this will damage the most is Ann-Sophie and the :de: delegation

Yes. It annoys me even more that the UK will probably give Australia 12, just because it's Australia.

Me too, but then the song came out. It definitely doesnt sound like anything that could possibly win, although the Top 10 is almost certain.

They should do a bidding process for countries who could realistically host, to present their offer(s).

I don't know why especially after Azerbaijan in 2011 we think that the real way to win this contest is the song...
